Would you rather be a role player in the NBA, making at least $5,000,000 per year, or be a star player and make at least $15,000,000 per year?
Role player you would have more privacy and more freedom, you wouldn't be the main player on the team, so recieve less pressure, while star player, you would need body guards, and your privacy would be taken away and not much freedom, also your team depends on you every game, and you have lots of pressure.

I think star players don't mind the pressure, They live for it.the salary is obviously something I would want. the privacy issue would be the only draw back, but I would take precautions and live a boring life that way photographers and reporters wouldn't have anything to do with me.
I pick star player.

I would choose star player because i would want my career to be depended on how I perform, I want to be the one who decides how far my team goes. And I'm sure with $15,000,000 a year i could deal with having body guards and my privacy taken away cause when I'm 40 and retired I'll get SOME privacy back and still be a very rich man.

I'd rather be a star player. Because with the status granted to you, you could have more reach not just on the court but outside as well. Look at the difference between Mutombo and Ethan Thomas. Both of them want to help people. But Mutombo ends up helping more because he has the leverage of being a superstar. 15mil a year isn't half bad either. I think the trade-off's worth it.

It depends am I Jordan worthy or Kobe worthy!

Most plp would choose that 15.mil. Its a fact!

I would choose that 15 mil b/c I know I left a dent in NBA history, rather than a role player, but then again am I Scottie Pippen role player/1 of the 50 Greatest Players of All-Time, or Robert Horry who never stops surprising u!

I would still go with the 15.0 mil (LOL)

Good thinking, I'd rather be just good enough to make the all star team a few times but not Dirk Nowitzki. There are 12th men who make obscene salaries as my friend once pointed out to me and I guess that's fine -- that's what the NBA and GMs will pay them. But, then I'd like to be a 12th man and then retire after 5 years and do other stuff with my earnings....

What you're really asking is, can you handle the spotlight?...Star players can still live a private life but they definitely face a lot of pressure...For 15 million per year they better be able to handle the pressure. Sign me a cheque and give me the rock.

How can you say no to fame and fortune? It's like asking, would you rather have a Lamborghini or a Lexus LS400? Would you rather live in a mansion or a house? Money is the root of all evil but without money, life can be pretty miserable.
