Damnnn

what if they re-sign him for 10 years 300 million dollars like reports are out to be and then he gets injured and never becomes the same player again...that would so suck

I mean dude's got an excellent work ethic and keeps himself in tip top shape but it would be a shame if it happened to him and the Yankees or whatever team he goes to

I agree with the other posts on this one. No player sets out to get injured, but it happens. His health is attributed to his work ethic, and if more players took that approach the injury list might be shorter.

That is a risk that all player, and teams take when they get into multi-year contracts for the big bucks. I wish they would go back to old time Baseball where guys played for the love of the game........

Why would you even speculate on such a ridiculous thing? Even Carl Pavano didnt "pull" a Carl Pavano. Guys dont plan on having injuries. If Arod is injured it will result in the insurance company paying his salary. ANY player can be injured. It's part of the game and something every team must factor into the equation.

You can say this with every free agent signing ever. Pavano is soft, but he has had a lot of legit injuries. You don't get TJ surgery for the hell of it.

It would really be a shame if any player had his career ended because of an injury, not just A-Rod.

I don't know, but then, expect Yankee payroll to reach 300 million a year!

i believe arod wont ever do that but i also think the yanks will have some kind of insurance on him. what bothers me is what happens in 5 years and he demands to redo his contract .

that is always a risk ans is why teams always take out insurance on huge guaranteed contracts.

If the Yankees resign A-ROD I WILL NOT WATCH OR ROUTE FOR THE YANKEES UNTIL HE IS DEAD OR OFF THE TEAM WHICHEVER COMES FIRST!!!! NOTHING WOULD MAKE ME HAPPIER THEN TO HEAR THAT A-ROD SUSTAINED A CAREER ENDING INJURY!!!!
