I wouldbe very happy to see Arod and the Yankees iron out a deal. If you look back at all my answers from day 1 on this subject I always had a feeling he was going to remain a Yankee.
He will go down as one of the best players to play the game and when all is said and done should be the homerun and hits leader.
I think he wanted to just test the waters and see what else was out their I knew that only 2 or 3 teams could afford him and he didnt really get any offers he expected so he would like to stay a Yankee

all he did in the end was cost the NY Yankees more money because the extension they were giving him would have come out to the same money. He just saved the Rangers $21 of the (now) Yankees money.

Doesn't seem like the actions of someone who 'wanted to be a yankee"

I think it's actually embarrassing that the Yankees are even negotiating with him after coming out and saying "If you opt out, that's it"

With the whole "Rodriguez approached us and really said he wanted to be a yankee" bs, that's all sugar coating.
That's how the Yankees get out of publicly dismissing him and then coming back to the table and frankly, I believe, that the Boras uninvolvment is simply window dressing. He's involved, but it had to look like Rodriguez is doing something 'for' the Yankees.

I never wanted him to leave in the first place & if he did, the Yankees would move on. I think A-Rod should get rid of his agent to be honest. To the person who responded that they would not root for the Yankees as long as A-Rod was on team or until he dies, which ever came first & hopes for a career ending injury, now what would you do if Yankees win World Series? I bet you be the first one at the victory parade.

I am a die hard yankee fan, i am just sick of it always bieng about A-Rod. I am sure, once he starts hitting his moon shots all will be forgotten. It's safe to say he is not well liked by his teamates, and comes across as an all around phony. I was happy he was leaving, although, in this game you have to put your ego at the door. He is the best player in the game, and with the yankees heavy left handed line up. we need him, his production is irreplaceable. that is the bottom line, he is in another stratsphere in the game. You can say, i am feeling bitter sweet, that he will be back.

I particularly have been given the respect of chatting with the excellent Kevin long, the hitting coach for the ny Yankees, and he stated the main rationalization why Derek Jeter is the team captain is with the help of his psychological attitude. He could have be the captain of the Yankees yet he does not do it via himself in any respect. Now what Kevin long stated a pair of-rod is that he works greater good than the different participant on the yankees. So i think of that A-rod is payed greater through fact they think of he will supply greater and is plenty greater probable to entice different communities to him. in contrast to Derek Jeter who's greater like the face of the Yankees and no one could dare take him off their team through fact of his popularity from the american's followers and the hatred from different communities followers.

I think it was a smart business move. Now it looks like he can stay on as a Yankee and make more money.

Good for him! This is how deals are made. Sometimes fans take it just too personally.

Good on A-Rod for having some backbone and doing what he obviously wants to do - be a Yankee. Maybe Boras should be put down. Seems to me like he causes s**t with all his players. Maybe A-Rod & co are better off without him. 27 in 08!

Lol, he is pimping and just wants to suck more money out of the Yankees good for him, since they like to overpay players and are worth 2 billion dollars, they can and should be able to afford and pay him.
