Since the EPL n Liga teams aren't defensive, maybe we can score 4 - 5 goals every match.

I'm talking about the NYG @ MIA game being played in London this weekend. Will it be an even mix, with everyone choosing based on which uniform they like more? Will more people side with the heavily favored Giants or will most people be pulling for the underdog?

I’m a casual baseball fan and don’t understand why drafts in baseball don’t seem to produce the same results as basketball or football. BoSox have been ok the last 5 five years, where did they get Papelbon? Why wasn’t he drafted by a crappy team like KC Royals?

Why can’t the loser teams draft players like Papelbon? When someone throws 98 mph and fairly straight, isn’t that a sure sign that this guy should be drafted high? He was drafted in the 4th round in 2002!

Two days ago I overheard my coworkers @ Morgan Stanley talking excitedly about this new show that they have been tuning into. Being educated men, and often critical of pop media, I found it strange that they would allow themselves to become so engaged in such a program. I believe it's a show (perhaps it's the end of a Series) that involves a futuristic embattlement of various countries (Bahstin vs. Kholorado?), seemingly with much violence: hitting, striking, and other foul play. Viewing such aggression does not particularly strike my own fancy, but I was wondering what the nature of this program is, and if anyone can tell me more about it. I have approached my coworkers regarding this show, but to no avail; they laugh. I think they are embarrassed to admit they indulge in so much television. They did, however, tell me to post this question under "baseball." I figured it's worth a shot.

Theoretically it seems like a good balance, but a lot of people seem to not be satisfied with it--either leaning toward a 9 mm or .45.

I'm considering a .40 for a first handgun since it seems it would be a good balance between the .9mm and .45.

Would you agree with this or is it better to stick with the .9 mm or .45 (if so I'm leaning toward the .45 --is this reasonable?)? Thanks.

They'd rather play in Arizona (400 miles away) or give Texans a free home game (1000miles away) instead of just driving an hour an a half north and just playing in the LA Coliseum...Does the NFL really want to spite LA that much? Both UCLA and USC are away so no one is using the site. What's the deal?

In theyre recent history, in the Joe Torre era, how many times did they play each other & does anyone know what the final was, not who won but what was the actual series final, 4 games to 3, 4 games to 0, that kind of thing. Not a fan or hater of either so save your hate for the next one. lol.

Everyone one else, on all the teams, wear their uniforms rather tight so they can play better, but he fricking looks like Hugh Hefner out there in his pajamas. What is up with that? Can anyone explain this?

Ok.. so we have seen it so often it hurts. Prevent defense really means prevent yourself from winning. VTech was a perfect example last night. 4 man contained them all night... went to 3 man and BC was able to slice them up in the back field.

I am in a league in which two owners are playing this week who are both badly affected by bye weeks. Each team has good tight ends who are both on byes. Would it be collusion or otherwise unfair play for both teams to publicly agree to not start tight ends this week in their matchup?

The agreement would be public and would equally affect both teams. These indicate that it might not be collusive per se since the agreement is not secret nor does it unfairly benefit one team at the expense of the other. Also, both teams would suffer from lack of total points that week, which would hurt them in the overall standings via the tiebreaking system.

On the other hand, neither team would have to drop a player they might want to retain to aquire a marginal tight end who they'd inevitably drop the following week, and this might be a mutually unfair advantage gained by the agreement.

Is this agreement fair? Collusive?

I'm inclined to think it's not collusive but may be unfair.

....because of those guys in the first row pounding on the wall. Really, it got annoying because the experts at Fox put a microphone right next to them. It was either turn off the sound, or the game. You who stayed with the game missed an awesome finish to the BC -VT game!

I say first to 24 wins. Agree or Disagree? Why?

I think the Skins'll continue with the no-blitz D to minimize Brady's danger level... obviously there's no stopping the Golden Boy, he's just too good. but if they can cut his efficiency... Don't wanna jinx my team lol. It won't matter that the skins don't worry mcuh about their run D, since NE can't run the ball at all anyway. If Campbell finally finds a WR for a TD or 2, that, in combination with the Skins lights out D, could make the difference.

all that said, my pick is still Pats 31, Skins 17.
