i love michael vick and have followed him since college so you can imagine how bummed i am about what he's done. i love dogs too. pitbulls are my favorite. my family breeds them. so i hate to see him involved in something so cruel and disgusting. who else feels the same?

I'm just curious because, since both sports have the same off-season, it has been boring as hell in the hockey section. Loads of dumb questions like, "Who's going to win the Stanley Cup this year?" (If I knew, I'd be psychic and in Vegas putting my life savings on that team....and roulette.)

Back in the day, Edmonton was given the deserved plaudits for being the premier offensive juggernaut in the NHL. Featuring the likes of Wayne Gretzky, Jari Kurri, Glenn Anderson Paul Coffey, and Grant Fuhr, the Oilers made the rest of the NHL look silly in the mid 1980s. However, over two decades after the fact, have we as hockey fans overrated the dynasty? In other words, with the way the league and subsequent teams have been structured since the end of the dynasty, do we look at the 1980s Oilers with rose-tinted glasses? Let the controversey begin...

Ok, I was not happy when ESPN fired Michael Irvin. I was glad they didn't let Steve Young sit "on set" anymore. Mike Ditka is no longer a part of the crew. Im not big on Keyshawn, but I can tolerate him. Does anyone else think that Emmit Smith has no place to be there? I think he sounds horrible and is not very smooth with his words. Parcells fits very well. Who would you want to fill Irvin's shoes?

I decided to go the way of controversey when I asked this question: If you were to go up and down the rosters of NHL history, what players could be truly called franchise players? What players could a team simply build around and win? The inspiration of this question comes from a baseball magazine I bought ten years ago.
