I live in southern California, in a very nice neighborhood. I've only ever heard of one problem around the neighborhood (some random guy who skipped bail), but otherwise nothing has /ever/ happened here.

So I want to go running around, up to my school, down to the store, etc, to train for track and simply for fun, but my parents won't let me. Even before the random incident I mentioned...somehow they've got it in their heads that I'll get kidnapped or something. I'm an only child and a 9th grade girl, but all my friends run and I want fresh air and interesting sights, not the treadmill my parents keep offering to buy me instead.

How can I convince them to let me run on my own?

choose the following-

a) scream and run away

b) surrender

c) take a picture of them and then post it in internet

d) yell at them , "you are bunch of loser fat-bellied closet dwellers !!"

Yea, so what about the Nascar offical not penalizing the # 48 during his last pit stop in Vegas. His car was better and he was a better driver than anyone on Sunday. Does anyone think that Johnson, Gordon, and Kyle Busch will make good on the fast Atlanta track. Personally, I DO!

I forgot to specifically mention this in my previous question....One of the areas I want to focus on excelling in first is my serve. Bare in mind, I am only going to play my first real game tomorrow since the courts here have been covered in snow. (We finished shoveling them off today, which mind you was a LOT of work.)

I've been practicing, but I have no idea if what I am doing is correct. I'll try to explain what I've been doing:

I start with my feet sideways, toss the ball up in front of me. I allow it to roll off my fingers and spin towards my target. I dip below it and bring my racket around and arc it up behind me, trying to whip the ball by using my wrist. All I have really been able to do so far is smack it like that, and I'm not very accurate...

I know that's probably not correct at all, since I just started DOING it because it felt natural.

So, what can I do to make my serve like a precisely guided SCUD missle and strike fear into my opponent? = P Haha.

They play great against the Mavs. I went to the game today and the Warriors won by 17 points, and won a game earlier this season vs. the mavs. And they beat the mavs all last season. They are the reason why the Mavs have 2 of their 10 losses. What do you think?

What do you think abouth Ponting's reply to Gavaskar's comments over Australia's behaviour ?

In my view, it was about the truth pinching hard . Nearly all teams havd had problems with Australia's on field verbal tactics.

The South Africans complained of racial abuse when they went there, and in fact pleaded their homw crowd to boo the Aussies when they came for return series.

NewZealander Lou Vincent went public with his feelings against Australia by saying they hunt like a pack of dogs and they think they are above the game.

India's Sachin Tendulkar has been the target of Aussies verbal volleys so often, and in the recent malaysia tri-series, ponting made some rude remarks at him after he was called back by the umpire after being initially given out.

Sri Lanka's Muralitharan and Ranatunga have had problems with Aussies.

Brian Lara too. After he reached 400, Ponting instead of congratulating him, went on to say that Lara was a selfish player in going for the record.

I was wondering if there is a stat taken to record an NHL skating players points or goals per minute. I ask this because there are a lot of depth players who don't see as many minutes as the top line players and I think it would be very interesting to see how many points a 20-30 point-a-season player would score in his limited minutes versus how much a 60-100 point-a-season player would score in their many minutes.

If this is not currently recorded, I figure it would be similar to how a Goalie's GAA is figured; minutes played averaged to a set amount (usually a 60 minute game, maybe for skaters a period) totaled and compared to total points or goals scored.

Do you guys know of a relatively good website to buy F1 apparel and hats. I looked at the official F1 Store...honestly never thought it was possible $500 Carbon Fiber Mousepad. On ESPN.com's baseball statistics page, if you look at the all-time leaders for games played in a single season, it has Maury Wills at the top. It says he played 165 games in 1962; how is that possible? How do you get credit for more than 162? There are a bunch of other players on that page who it says played more than 162 in a season: Billy Williams with 164 in 1965, Pete Rose with 163 in 1979, Hideku Matsui with 163 in 2003. Am I misinterpreting this page? If I'm not, how are these stats possible?
