Who do you think will win when the two most bitter enemies square off tonight? The Red Sox with their power-hitting Big Papi and Manny or the Bronx Bombers with their clutch hitting DE-REK JE-TER and Carl Pavano?

Also, who will win the AL East this year? And if the Red Sox and Yankees somehow make it to the Playoffs, then who do you think will get farther?

In the early 1990s, South Africa had just been allowed to play international cricket again after the apertheid thing. They had a match to play against the West Indies in Barbados. A Barbadian player called Cummins, an all rounder, was expected to be in the team. The Barbadian public were tremendously excited at the prospect of seeing "their boy" play in his home town. Then dismay! The West Indian cricket board dropped him from the side. The anger amongst the populus was immense, and the word went round to boycot the game. On the day of the match, the ground which would normally been "heaving" WITH 30,000, singing, chanting, noisy fans. Was empty. They played the game before an almost empty stadium. That night someone took a pot of paint and a brush, and painted on the stadium wall. "NO CUMMINS - NO GOINGS.

If you are a basketball freak like me, you realize that basketball is more than just "ankle-breakers" and slam dunks. I enjoy seeing a perfectly executed pick-and-roll, the point guard making the perfect pass to find an open shooter, a great screen, stifling defense, and good shooting. All those things take teamwork and last I checked, basketball is about the team. Even though there's not a lot of flashy moves and slam dunks, the WNBA has substance.

As an Islander fan let me start off by saying that was a very dirty play. The thing I don't get is the NHL said Simon is suspended for 25 games right? So if the Islanders make it deep in the playoffs (over 25 games) why is he not allowed to play? I'm just saying it's not that clear to me.
