If you are a basketball freak like me, you realize that basketball is more than just "ankle-breakers" and slam dunks. I enjoy seeing a perfectly executed pick-and-roll, the point guard making the perfect pass to find an open shooter, a great screen, stifling defense, and good shooting. All those things take teamwork and last I checked, basketball is about the team. Even though there's not a lot of flashy moves and slam dunks, the WNBA has substance.

I agree that men should appriciate womens basketball, Its not about the flashyness and dunks,its about the teamwork and love for the game,though there are really good players out there for the wnba,boy can they shoot those three's,Basketball is basketball and no matter what gender is playing it, it's a great sport and women may not have the abilities of highflying and dunking but it is what it is.

Actually, the real reason behind it is this: It has always been, up until lately a "male" sport. Ultimately, bringing a female version, is like a mockery, simply because it is not as aggressive nor as competitive. Men seem to watch it for a small amount of time, needless to say the scoring isn't all that great. In addition, it does not take much to foul in the wnba or to get hurt. In comparison, men can take the abuse and that's why men would rather see who dishes out the action just as much as taking it. And while it may contain substance ir is not consistent enough to gain mainstream attention.

These women on here have got to be Joking, WNBA players are better than NBA players and men are jealous. There are some serious ballers out there that aren't even in the NBA that would school alot of those women.
Back to the question, Men like to watch what they can relate too. Womens basketball is a lil slower and most often not as intense now I will go watch semi pro college or even pro women play but I can't stand to watch it on TV it's just to slow.
I'm not dissing them, it's just my prefrence.

because they are not flashy like you said and like a 20 game season or w/e i don't care but really the best players from the NBA would own the best from the WNBA, scratch that the worst from the NBA could beat the Best from the WNBA, no scratch that too, The Best college team could beat the best team from the WNBA, nono scratch that, the worst college team could beat the best from the WNBA, no waity scratch that too, hunington high from WV w/ Ojay mayo could beat the Best from the WNBA, okay so maybe I exaggerated but the NBA is more fun to watch, it's just that simple

It is boring. It is like watching people play at the park. If they aren't crazy skilled then it's not entertainment. And the women shoot funny.
I would watch if they had the NBA all stars play against the WNBA all stars.
It is so stupid that the NBA required networks to show WNBA games

If I told you the real reason, I'd be labeled a homophobe. here is another, I think that men like to fantacize that they are on the court playing against these male guys, Men are always competing with each other and they like it that way. When women are around they want sex. Mixing sex and sports is like mixing vinegar with ice cream.

because its boring, the only thing worse then wnba is college basket ball. if i wanted to watch people just shoot 3s fo 48 minutes then i watch reruns of 3 point contests. it bores me to death, but im a huge sports fan
