Look at it like this. A QB throws a pass right into the hands of a receiver and he drops it. That counts as an incomplete pass for the QB. Likewise a very poorly thrown pass is caught in an unbelieveable fashion. Should the QB get credit for that? What about rating the receivers on the catches they make or don't make instead of the catches and total yards only. Gives a more accurate picture of how a player is doing. Also the receiver should be rated on yards gained AFTER the catch. A pass that is thrown for a 3 yard gain and the receiver breaks a couple of tackles and runs for another 40 yards. Should that be added to the passing yards or the rushing yards.

I stopped taking an interest in club football many years ago after the atmosphere was ripped out of all grounds by the introduction of all seater stadiums. No terraces killed the game.

I miss having quality players like Danny Mcgrain and Davie cooper,who as well as having skill seemed to be more charasmatic than the usual overpaid foreign rejects we have nowadays.

Beats me how people get excited watching a player getting £30,000 a week who has no local ties to a club whilst eating their £3.50 burger sitting in their £50 replica top.

Do you think the game will ever get back to it roots?

I was told you can tell by whoever is on the top of the scoreboard is the visiting team. And if it's side by side the left is visiting and the right is the home team. I wanted to see if there was a site to verify that info. thanks

my opinion is that every country paricipating plays any country...lets say the qualifyier is 20 games...you'll play those 20 games against different nations...not just in your geographic area. and the best 32 teams...or 31 (with the host nation) qualify.

good points: more talent is recognized, everyone gains expierience, the WORLD cup will be that exactly...WORLD CUP!

bad points: germany will rip american samoa 100-zip. or any strong country....

and 30 european countris will qualify and brazil and argentina.
