'long term - good deal' - erm, yes, spending 30 million on a 30 year old was a good deal. the italian league, as good as it is, is slow. it's just as physical as the premiership, but their emphasis is on breaking down teams, not breaking through. in italy they're more likely to pass directly to the man, build up the move; whereas in england they'll pass into space, and try to get ahead. he won't adapt to england's style; it's not the type of player he is. he was always over-rated anyway. if you notice over the last few seasons, mourinho has bought very few big, proven signings from big clubs. the only reason he bought schevchenko and ballack was because abramovich is starting to get impatient about the champions league.

He should of come to the prem in his prime. 3 years ago. He only came now cos he knows he is on the way out and he wants to make some money before he retires and chelsea will pay him the easy money cos they are a bunch of mugs. Just look at the jon obi mikel deal. They paid Man utd £12m for absolutely nothing. I think that says it all. Wot other club would do that. Schevchenko is too old to adapt to the prem, just look at Crespo he did ALRITE but that was it.

He is 30
It will take him 1/2 season getting used to the premiership then you will only get 1 good season out of him before he is too old and at 30 million a complete waste of money if chelsea bought him for £5mill then it would be worth it

He was clearly a bad deal for Chelsea. He was a waste of Roman Abramovich's millions and they didn't really need him.
He's not brought any quality to the team.

I think it was a bad deal as it is taking him ages to adapt to the premiership. He is a good player but not worth 30 Million!

It will take some time for him to adapt to the Premiership
short term- bad deal
long term- good deal
Chelsea has too much money so there is no good or bad deal

Yes, because we should just ignore the transfer fee (which is for Chelsea an irrelevant matter) and focus on just how good a player he is.
