I think that penalty shootout's are based on luck rather than skills.Do u agree?

agreed 100%, for all the reasons given above. add to that the fact that football is a team sport and matches should be resolved thru combined skills and strategies and not left to the devices of a GK in a chancy one on one situation. that kind of a resolution just doesn't seem right and i think it goes against the very essence of the game.

at least the penalty kick is the better solution that golden goal. just imagine if a team scores a golden goal, the other team will not have a chance at all!! some people may say it is just luck winning it on penalties but the penalty kick will stay at this moment.

I agree with you and TRICKY D by 200%..I think that PKs are luck of draw..it's a bad way of determining the winner..sometimes,even a skillful player would miss his PK if he is having his bad luck,like the one happened to Trezeguet..look at him now,he scored two goals and helped Juventus to win the match against that other team,I can't remember the name..perhaps it is Piacenza or something..

Yes I do. I think penalties don't prove the better team it's just whether the team are good at penalties. Penalties shouldn't decide the winning team.

Yes I agree. But in US, they wont show it cuz it will take too long to score a goal sometimes.

yeah.I agree I thought that it was dumb when Italy beat France in penalty's.then when they went against them again France beat them 3-1.I think they should add a sudden death. the next team who scores wins.
