Jesus wants you admit you are a sinner and to repent and recognize your need of a Savior, HE already knows your sin.

Hi. Doing some research for an essay.
According to Roman Catholic doctrine (a la Wikipedia), newborn unbaptized babies go to limbo.
Where do babies who pass away "in utero" due to spontaneous miscarriage go (about 4-5 months in utero)?
And what if the mother is an unwed teenager?
Could a baptism be performed after death?
Have no clue about this myself. Need Catholic answers. This is a very important essay.

My parents were never religious and did not Baptize me when I was younger. I am curently in R.C.I.A. class and awaiting Baptism on Easter. My question is: Can I pray to the Lord and repent and be forgiven in the meantime? The Bible says the Lord is Fair and Loving. How can someone say that it is fair for them to have been Baptized as a child but since my parents didnt bother, well thats tough for me. The Preist that teaches our class says I am Baptized through a Baptism by desire and that God will provide the necessary Graces if I die before my Baptism. I am just curious and wondering what you all think.

Scenario:
So let's say there's a guy with a wife and 2 young children. One day the guy decides he needs to go on a spiritual quest and leaves his wife and children to pursue a closer relationship with God.
Given this scenario would the man be in the wrong for neglecting his family and his earthy obligations or would the man be in the right for doing whatever it takes to be closer to God?

Do you purposely reject the idea of God being real and don't want to believe; or do you want to believe but just can't?

I ask questions about abortion and people say it's better for these children to be killed in the womb then to allow them to be born and leech off of society - but I have to wonder - how many of the 48,589,993(1) children killed by abortion would have been useful?

How many (statistically speaking) do you think would have been artists, teachers, scientists, doctors, etc.? That's more people than the population of the entire state of California and Pennsylvania put together(2). That's more people than the entire country of Spain(3).

Here's another interesting statistic - only 7% of abortions are due to rape, incest, fetal abnormalities, or the health of the mother. 93% of abortions are due to simple convenience.(4)

Iran: Top cleric says women without veils must die

adnkronos.com December 19, 2007

Tehran, 19 Dec. (AKI) - A top Muslim cleric in Iran, Hojatolislam Gholam Reza Hassani said on Wednesday that women in Iran who do not wear the hijab or Muslim headscarf, should die.

"Women who do not respect the hijab and their husbands deserve to die," said Hassani, who leads Friday prayers in the city of Urumieh, in Iranian Azerbaijan.

"I do not understand how these women who do not respect the hijab, 28 years after the birth of the Islamic Republic, are still alive," he said.

"These women and their husbands and their fathers must die," said Hassani, who is the representative of the Iranian Supreme Leader Ayatollah Seyyed Ali Khamenei in eastern Azerbaijan.

i am an atheist, recently my Christian cousin got really depressed because she doens't have much social skills and lost her job due to her constant nervousness. I tried to comfort her and taking her out for coffee and dinner, when i asked her why she never takes me to her home (shared with other christian people), she told me it was because I am 'dirty' in her eyes, i live with my boyfriend of 3 years without marriage. how do i deal with this kind of comments? i still love her very much but i felt hurt.

i've found that it's pretty much fair play here as far as questions that are asked. every time i ready a question which might be insulting to atheists, i usually can find one that's insulting to believers. and so it's fair. if we say something insulting about you, you're within your rights to say something back. what i'm not convinced is fair is the account suspension process. i'm curious to know how many here have had their account suspended and how many accounts have you had suspended as well. also list if you're religious or non-religious.

I've heard that there are so many special things that had to occur for life to exist, such as distance from sun, chemical compositions, etc. and that these "miracles" prove the existence of god. But as science has increased our limited knowledge of things, we no know that we are not the center and in fact there is nothing special or notable about our location in the cosmos.

As far as the odds of rolling 1000 dice and getting all 6's and comparing those odds to the chance that random chemicals coming together in the correct quantity and configuration to produce life are statistically improbable aren't the odds exactly the same for the sequence which turns up each time you roll 1000 dice yet they always produce a "sequence" however statistically improbable it is.

Furthermore doesn't the causal problem still exist if you use god as the source since you would then have to explain his cause. If it is imposible for the universe to exist without god then isn't god just as imposible.

I have a lot of groups of friends but one of my groups can all see spirits and hear them at least. They are the group of friends i hang out with most of the time. We each have our guardians. I know that i have my own guradian except i only know his name because one of my really good friends told me about it. I sometimes feel left out a lot because something may be happening and i cant see it. I can sometimes sense that someones thwere but even that sense isnt that strong. i just want to be able to hear and see my guardian at least. I mean sometimes i know hes there but after a while it all feels the same and i cant tell anymore. Please is there any way that i can improve my sense of sight?

I was told the world may end in 5 years. AHH!!!!!
I feel so depressed like my life is wasted and theres no point in living anymore. WAT DO I DO?!!?!?

I'm a Christian and I believe in God and I try my best to do what His will is. But I somehow feel that I'm not good enought. I'm a sinner, but I feel like I dont deserve to be forgiven, and that I deserve to be in hell.
Maybe thats whats scaring me.

But I dont know what to do. I dont want the world to end in 5 years!!!!!!

The Watchtower organization claims to be the Faithful and Discreet Slave spoken of in Matthew 24:45.

"We all need help to understand the Bible, and we cannot find the Scriptural guidance we need outside the ‘faithful and discreet slave' organization." (The Watchtower, Feb. 15, 1981.) (See the quote in context.)

All who want to understand the Bible should appreciate that the "greatly diversified wisdom of God" can become known only through Jehovah's channel of communication, the faithful and discreet slave. The Watchtower; 10/1/1994; p. 8.
This Watchtower organization, the faithful and discreet slave, claims to the means by which God communicates His truth to us in this world. Therefore, by deduction, what the Watchtower says is truth. Alright, let's take a look at one quote from the Watchtower.

"From time to time, there have arisen from among the ranks of Jehovah's people those, who, like the original Satan, have adopted an independent, faultfinding attitude...They say that it is sufficient to read the Bible exclusively, either alone or in small groups at home. But, strangely, through such ‘Bible reading,' they have reverted right back to the apostate doctrines that commentaries by Christendom's clergy were teaching 100 years ago..." (The Watchtower, August 15, 1981, p. 29). (See the quote in context.)

The Watchtower says that the Trinity, the deity of Christ, and the physical resurrection of Christ are all false doctrines. Yet, the Watchtower says that if you read the Bible by itself you will end up believing these doctrines. In other words, if you read the Bible by itself, then you will become a Trinitarian, believe that Jesus is God, and believe that Jesus rose from the dead physically. Why is that? Could it be because the Bible teaches these things? So I ask the Jehovah's Witnesses, what is it in the Bible that would lead someone to this conclusion? Again, what is in the Bible that reading it by itself would lead you to believe in the Trinity, the deity of Christ, and His physical resurrection?
This quote from the Watchtower is proof that it is teaching contrary to the natural reading of the Bible and that it is controlling the beliefs of those who follow it.
