I saw that last week.. what's even sadder is that the couple originally had the wreath in their yard, and the christian kids (yes, it was proven to be them) egged it.
It's just another example of them showing the "love of Jesus" that they preach so much.

The situation is heating up.

It's truly sad, and very frustrating. Apparently some Christians are so insecure that seeing another religion's symbol is intolerable, and so ethically bankrupt that vandalism seems okay to them.
But let's be careful not to paint all Christians with the same brush. I'm sure that there are some who would stand up for the right of other faiths to display appropriate symbols.

I agree with whoever said take it all down..if they are so damn worried about separation of church and state, then they should put up some pretty rainbow lights and shut the hell up. People should respect other peoples beliefs no matter how they feel about it personally, and the state should be the state and leave Jesus and Oden and Ra and Pa and whoever else out of it.
Colorful lights is the way to go if you want to be neutral to everybody, and those little glass balls, those are fine. Oh, and spider man. Lets the state do a spider man Christmas, nobody can complain about that.

Oh my gosh. Why any deliberating over the nativity scene why not just put up another wreath? Sounds fishy.

Wow. First the Wiccan pentacle in Olean, NY gets backed over, and now this! But Christians are the ones being persecuted.
I think I'm going to have to log off for the night. Blood pressure is not happy.

Its not OK, in fact, its illegal.
The wreath will undoubtedly be put back up if its in good enough shape.
Of course, since Christmas trees were originally pagan, almost every town in the country already has a pagan holiday display set up.

It's not. I believe that all religious symbols should be left alone. No one has the right to complain about a Pagan wreath or a Nativity scene. They're not hurting anyone.

It's not okay to vandalize at all; the town committee who invited other faiths to put their symbols up should come out and publicly denounce the action. It just goes to show that some don't have tolerance for other beliefs than the one they think is correct.

Thats disgusting. The Wiccan Wreath has every right to be displayed. If the bloody Christians can't handle it, then no one gets to display their religious stuff. its called equality. The Christians need to grow the hell up and stop being whiney babies.

According to the article, the city council there is going to decide whether or not to take the nativity scene down, as well. City Hall is not the place for any "scenes", except council doing their "scene"; err, their "jobs".
