I was told the world may end in 5 years. AHH!!!!!
I feel so depressed like my life is wasted and theres no point in living anymore. WAT DO I DO?!!?!?
I'm a Christian and I believe in God and I try my best to do what His will is. But I somehow feel that I'm not good enought. I'm a sinner, but I feel like I dont deserve to be forgiven, and that I deserve to be in hell.
Maybe thats whats scaring me.
But I dont know what to do. I dont want the world to end in 5 years!!!!!!

Try imagining how you felt BEFORE you "learned" this distressing "fact". Then think about how you "learned" it. Do you remember who told you? Exactly how did that person "learn" this "fact"? Perhaps this misery is all a result of your acceptance of an unverified assumption. Nobody enjoys working with a deadline, especially if it's just pretend.
Now suppose it's true again. Does that mean it's too late to "do" anything? What more exactly would you accomplish if you had ten years? 30? 90? Life is not a project with a point at which you sign your name and say it's perfect. There are wars going on all over the world at any moment. People get shot, blown up, crushed. Their worlds end every day. What special thing would you be prevented from doing by this supposed cosmic wrapup?
It's your attitude that is doing you in. People shouldn't be smug, but they shouldn't humiliate themselves so much that they don't give themselves permission to live. The whole point of living as a Christian is NOT giving up. As long as you're still alive, live!

AS A Christian, I am ready to go at anytime. Either death or the rapture. If you are a new Christian, then it is natural to have these thoughts. But if you are saved, then salvation is yours. Jesus even said that He didn't know when the end would be.
I remember in the '60's... it was like every year or two that the world was going to end..I am still here!
If I knew for sure of the end time, I would be out on the street corners trying to save everyone!
In looking at Revelation, there are signs, but then there is tribulation, which I believe to be 7 years, the millennial reign (1000 years) of Christ, and then the White throne Judgment. So There is at least 1007 years left!

don't worry, the world is NOT going to end in 5 years. NO ONE knows that. i feel that way ALL the time!! i know I'm saved but somehow i feel if i die, i am going to hell. everyone originally deserves hell, but God sent his only son to pay for what sins we did, are and will commit. I'm not scared of dying, but I'm scared of what comes after that.
so the world is not going to end in 5 years. only God can decide when this world will end. and if you are saved, you will go to heaven. you can never lose your salvation.

okay...i am a christian too.
and honestly...the thought of the rapture does scare me a little...or a lot. because i still like a lot of the stuff that's worldly...you know? i'm sort of re-newing my faith at this moment.
it's true. people dont deserve to be forgiven. but that's what's so awesome about it. God and Jesus forgave us anyway! so you are forgiven if you truly are sorry....even if it doesnt feel like it.
and also...i dont really think peopl can predict when the world will actually end. only god knows that.

Wow, I thought that I was the only one being depressed. I feel the same way, I can't even sleep! I feel that everything is meanlingess. What can I do? I was told that the world is going to end in 2011, dates are even set on May 21st to October something. Harold Camping gave this prediction. All I can tell you is that you need to pray, and pray, because when it comes it will be to late.

You know, if you are a Christian, then you must realize that no man has a right to put a number on God's creations!! Please, do not believe all you hear as much are not factual at all!
Only God has to right to decide such as this! Remember, God is in control and not man! As a Christian, I do not want you feeling depressed and scared as HE is always with you. In as much, I am going to pray that God will help you to see truths and not believe all that is being said! I pray your relationship, with God deepens as you grow to know He is the One with Authority!

no one knows when the world will end it could end tomorrow or it could end in 5000 years dont listen to those things people say. some people the world was going to end on 6/6/06 but it didnt as far as i know

the Bible tells us that this planet will be around for at least another 1007 years so it is not going to end in 5 years. as for thinking you don't deserve heaven, who does? God only saved us by showing us mercy no one that makes it to heaven can say they deserve to be there.

That's ok. Sell everything you have and have as much fun as possible in the next 5 years, you can't take it with you... Anyway, you might get run over by a bus tomorrow, in which case it doesn't matter.
