I am a Christian. On my own merit, I do not deserve to go to heaven, but Jesus took my sins upon himself, and has already paid the price with his own blood. When Jesus was resurrected, I too by faith has been risen with him, to a new life. When God looks at me, he sees me in Christ, and that alone has made me worthy of heaven. Peace.

I think you ask this question based on the assumption that only Christians go to heaven.
I don't really know if there IS a heaven or not.
If there is a heaven I think we'll probably all get in. I doubt that God judges or punishes.
Also - I believe that if there is a heaven - my Mom will have a place there with her name carved in it - waiting for her. But a Christian guy on here - named CJ - told me that my Mom is not going to heaven because she's Catholic. The fact that she does charity work almost everyday - and has basically never harmed anybody - and is kind and loving doesn't matter according the CJ the Christian. My Mom will go to hell.
Hmmmmmmmmm.
I think the purpose of Jesus' death was to live as a pacifist even if it meant death. I believe that Jesus was a pacifist martyr.
Namaste!

The purpose of Jesus death was to pay the sins of those he planned to sin. He came as the second Adam. I don't deserve going to heaven, I don't even know if I am saved.

No im not good enough to go to heaven thats why Jesus died so i could if I beleive in him. The purpose of his death was to pay inadvance for the sins of the world. You can only get to heaven by accepting him as your Lord and Savior

Yes, I know I deserve to go to Heaven but I dont want to be accepted there because I ''just made it'' so, I try to achieve more than necessary when it comes to my spiritual side and treating people good. Everyone should give their best and just like you said, Jesus gave his life. So it wouldnt hurt us to do as much good as we can in this world.

We don’t earn salvation. Heavenly Father and the Savior will bless us with eternal life, through Their grace, if we do our part. They have asked us to have faith in Jesus Christ, repent throughout our lives, be baptized and receive other ordinances, and faithfully endure to the end. If we do that, we are promised eternal life through the grace of God. We are saved by grace apart from anything we can do.

Greetings Friend,
Yes! I think I am good enough and so is every one else. I am God's Son. It does not matter what I think about myself, nor does it matter what others think about me. What I, or others think about me has nothing to do with who I really am. I am who God says I am. I am His Son. And, the Son is like His Father. I am not the body, nor am I ego which I sometimes act like I am, or who others may think that I am. None of that really matters for none of that changes who I am. I am God's Son.
Now, as far as Jesus death, it can be looked at a few ways, however, they all lead to the same conclusion - the salvation of everyone. One way Jesus death can be looked at is that he died to pay our debt of sin because we could not pay it. Well, if we cannot pay it, we never will be able to pay it. What I mean here is that I cannot do enough good works to save myself. Either Jesus death paid my "debt" or it didn't. If it did, then there is nothing that I need to do. If there was something that I still need to do then Jesus died in vain. When Jesus died on the cross, everyone, past, present, and future was "saved", is saved, and will be saved. Since it is quite obvious that we cannot save ourselves, why do we continuously try? If I can be saved by doing somethng, anything, then Jesus died in vain and I could save myself.
Another way to look a Jesus death is that he was showing us that we are not these ideas of who we think we are. We think we are these bodies, these names, jobs, families, etc, but that is not really who we are. Jesus realized that he was none of that and his last lesson was to show us that none of that is real. He was able to forgive while he was being nailed to a cross because he knew "HE" was not being nailed to a cross - a body was - but, not Him. He showed us that when we understand who we really are, the things of this world will mean nothing.
There is much more that can be said, but I will not bore you longer here. Just know that each of us is good enough. God has not changed "His" mind about how much "She" loves us. Nor, has He changed His mind about who we are, His Son (Child). We have and do change our minds about who we are but God has not, does not, and will not. You and I will always be His Child. We will always remain as God created us.
I hope this helps. I love you God's Child.
sending love,

No one is good enough to get to heaven...except Jesus Christ.
The good news is that Jesus lived, died and rose again to gain righteousness before God.....and has given this righteousness to me.

No, I'm not good enough to go to heaven. That's why I need God's grace to cover my sins. So, Jesus died for everything, including our eternal destiny.
