You never read or just interpret it...132:19-20 Talks about Celestial Marriage....The 2nd part talks about Plural Marriage and that was stopped by Official declaration 1.

Section 132 of the D&C is just not all about plural marrigae. It mainly discusses the doctrine of "eternal" marriage, wherein if you enter into the convennat of eternal marraige, that marriage is not until "death do you part" but lasts beyond the grave, into the eternities. Section 132 is doctrine that centeres the Mormon belief that "families can be forever."

it is important to see scriptures in conjunction with the rest AND in isolation.

Polygamy HAS been rescinded, but the principles upon which the idea was founded are not necessarily bad.

We could argue that Song of Solomon in the Old Testament is full of blatant pornography, as it contains loads of rude bits, yet it is still there as a fine example of biblical literature and has a service to provide to those who consider its content.

Equally D & C132 is important in its ability to expound certain virtues to its readers without the need to encourage blatant law-breaking!

Why do people still publish that we should sacrifice a lamb in the Bible in honor of our Savior when we don't have to anymore?

All the same, it's good to know our history and previous commandments.

But all Mormons are truelly glad we aren't polygamsits anymore. But when the lord speaks, we listen.

If you are not a member of the church, why do you care what is in the Book of Mormon?

Isn't there something more constructive, for you to do?

Or is bashing your main idea of fun???

Because if they took it out people(in/out of the church) would question the validity of the church/doctrine. Also, they have just transferred that doctrine to be something people will live in the afterlife. That way it wasn't taken out of church doctrine all together.

For the same reason that references to all of the old testament prophets who practiced it have also not been removed.

Because they still believe in plural marriage in heaven.

If they didnt they would have taken it out years ago. But if they did they would have to admit they were in error.
