The Bible states in Jude 18 "How that they told you there should be mockers in the last time, who should walk after their own ungodly lusts."

In 2 Peter 3:2-7 we read, "That ye may be mindful of the words which were spoken before by the holy prophets, and of the commandment of us the apostles of the Lord and Saviour:
3Knowing this first, that there shall come in the last days scoffers, walking after their own lusts,
4And saying, Where is the promise of his coming? for since the fathers fell asleep, all things continue as they were from the beginning of the creation.
5For this they willingly are ignorant of, that by the word of God the heavens were of old, and the earth standing out of the water and in the water:
6Whereby the world that then was, being overflowed with water, perished:
7But the heavens and the earth, which are now, by the same word are kept in store, reserved unto fire against the day of judgment and perdition of ungodly men."

Question #2: How would that be?

Question #3: Can you think of any belief system or religion that would agree with you?

Proverbs Chapter 3, versus 5 & 6.
Note. I am not religious at all. Someone just sent me an email telling me to read this, and I am just a little curious to see how this may relate to whatever he is trying to say to me.
Thanks.

I guess because it's the only true religion?

I don't see budhists, let me tell you something, mormons, I need to ask you something, Jehovas whitnesess, I need to see what you say, etc. etc. etc.

It must be because Christians work it, they try and tell the truth, whereas the other 'religions' cannot. And atheists have a good 'ol time with them?

I find it so descraseful that I am not coming to r&s or whatever again. obviously the people in here are just out to be rude and have hardened hearts, I will not waste time with people that are unlikely to respond to the Gospel, but I will pray for lost souls.

Shouldn't we love Satan because God told us to love our neighbors? Satan is as good as our neighbor as is God, Jesus or anyone else, right?

just help me understand please

you can't be gay and Christian
Catholics , Mormons , JWs and other such churches aren't real Christians
there are so many other things that I have seen on here that make people not " True Christians "

so I ask you
how many Christians do you think there are there worldwide if we discount all those " false Christians " ?

just wondering .. since you also claim to have the largest numbers in the world

I asked this yesterday - but I don't think I made myself clear.

As I said... I think that that if everybody lived by the Golden Rule (do unto others as you would have them do unto you) we'd be in a peaceful, beautiful world.

What's the purpose of "sins" that exist - that don't involve breaking the Golden Rule?

What I didn't say was that some of the "sins" (in my opinion) that would come under this category would be...

Drinking alcohol in moderation

Pre-marital sex (both adults consenting)

Homosexuality

Eating meat on Friday (during lent).

Wearing pants if you are a woman.

Not accepting Jesus Christ as your Savior.

I realize that not all religions consider all of these things sins. But some do.

In that classic move of hollywood plots, he loses his memory completely, and never regains it. He starts a whole new life, but never again encounters the teachings of Christ. The rest of his life is spent ignorant of religion.

Saved, or damned? Your call.

If so, then isn't abortion, murder and all that other junk just doing God's dirty work?

They have to die somehow that day, right? It's destined?

Sounds like some psychopathic bull to me.

According to the Bible, the Messiah is meant to:

Lead Jewish armies to victory in battle
End all war forever
Make the whole world speak one language
Make the whole world accept Torah
Not contradict the teachings of Moses

Jesus didn't do any of these. Why, then, do Christians still claim that he was the Jewish Messiah?

Do you really think Huckabee can win the Republican nomination or is the machine just too strong and against him?

(Just noticed this is the "Religion Section", so let me rephrase that. Do you think he has a snowballs chance in hell??)

After watching The Boondock Saints again it got me seriously thinking; about ordinary men who decide to go on criminal killing sprees.

Do you think they are doing good or do you think they should be locked up right along with the other criminals?

2007-12-11 10:12:11 · 15 answers · asked by Anonymous

I feel that you are paying to watch people sin and enjoying it and that would make God angry. He says that God would understand and that it is no more of a sin than watching movies where killing is involved. I say one is real, one is fiction, and I think that it is wrong to line the pockets of pornograghers. What do you think?

Have your ever noticed that there are at least one or two questions using that headline per page followed by an example of irrational thinking by someone trying to prove the unprovable. But dont you find it kinda funny when someone asks why there are so many Atheist in this section when there are so many questions specifically asking them for their opinions?
