After watching The Boondock Saints again it got me seriously thinking; about ordinary men who decide to go on criminal killing sprees.

Do you think they are doing good or do you think they should be locked up right along with the other criminals?

talking about the boondock saints i believe that they have done nothing wrong they kill people who deserve to die

who do you know that they deserve to die

well also stated in the movie there are easy ways to tell

do not rape do not kill do not steal
these are simple rules that when broken are bad no matter which way you turn it

i call them the basic laws

if some one has done one of these acts and intends to do it again is society not better off without that person?

"every one knows that evil is to be feared, but there is something to be feared even more, and that is the indifference of good men!"

if no one does anything about the evil then what is to stop it from happening?

p.s. does it not also say in the bible that once you are dead you face your final judgment

so these men aren't being judge and jury they are merely sending those who have sinned to court

Hard to say - Who wouldn't kill a murderer or rapist in self defense? Some would argue that we bring ourselves down to their level, others would argue that we are preventing more bad things from happening by getting rid of them.

The question is: Who decides who is a criminal and who isn't? (for example, a fanatic might consider a doctor who performs abortions a criminal, but someone else might consider him/her as performing a necessary duty).

The devil is in the details.

i think of it could in user-friendly terms be justified to achieve this if an harmless replaced into in mortal peril. in any different case it somewhat is an identical argument as professional/con dying sentence. Doing such an act could in user-friendly terms be pushed with the help of emotion and not a rational purpose. to end the existence of a few one you're able to ask the question, "is that this individual impossible to the two rehabilitate and turn into some useful effect to existence around him/her?" as nicely, in case you have a murderer/rapist/incorrect doer on your factors of interest, how plenty different are you for desirous to pull that set off. The undesirable individual can continually declare that what they did replaced into of their nature and subsequently could not be helped, what's your excuse.

Do not kill! Do not rape! Do not steal!
These are principles which every man of every faith can embrace.
These are not polite suggestions. These are cause of behavior.
And those of you that ignore them will pay the dearest cost.
There are varying degrees of evil.
We urge you lesser forms of filth…
…not to push the bounds and cross over…
…into true corruption, into our domain.
But if you do…
…one day you will look behind you and you will see we three.
And on that day you will repent!
And we will send you towards whichever god, you wish.

What you should ask, is if there is a reference to vigilantism in religions. I think that based on the teaching of Jesus, it is not right to judge anyone, and you must first judge before you can tell if someone is bad. But what did he know, he was just a dude with long hair.

Of course they're bad what else would they be? Yes they should be locked up but I don't know what this has to do with religion and spirituality.
