What saith the Scriptures?
Not "favorites", but rather God will reward according to our works... (reap what we sow)...
Ephesians 6:1-8
1 Children, obey your parents in the Lord: for this is right.
2 Honour thy father and mother; (which is the first commandment with promise;)
3 That it may be well with thee, and thou mayest live long on the earth.
4 And, ye fathers, provoke not your children to wrath: but bring them up in the nurture and admonition of the Lord.
5 Servants, be obedient to them that are your masters according to the flesh, with fear and trembling, in singleness of your heart, as unto Christ;
6 Not with eyeservice, as menpleasers; but as the servants of Christ, doing the will of God from the heart;
7 With good will doing service, as to the Lord, and not to men:
8 Knowing that whatsoever good thing any man doeth, the same shall he receive of the Lord, whether he be bond or free.
2 Corinthians 9:6
6 But this I say, He which soweth sparingly shall reap also sparingly; and he which soweth bountifully shall reap also bountifully.
1 Corinthians 3:9-15
9 For we are labourers together with God: ye are God's husbandry, ye are God's building.
10 According to the grace of God which is given unto me, as a wise masterbuilder, I have laid the foundation, and another buildeth thereon. But let every man take heed how he buildeth thereupon.
11 For other foundation can no man lay than that is laid, which is Jesus Christ.
12 Now if any man build upon this foundation gold, silver, precious stones, wood, hay, stubble;
13 Every man's work shall be made manifest: for the day shall declare it, because it shall be revealed by fire; and the fire shall try every man's work of what sort it is.
14 If any man's work abide which he hath built thereupon, he shall receive a reward.
15 If any man's work shall be burned, he shall suffer loss: but he himself shall be saved; yet so as by fire.
Grace and Peace !

No, God loves us all the same. In heaven, and here right now. But many will not ever receive of Gods blessings as they wont do what it takes to be blessed. God loves us all just the same, and all are called By God to be His. But, so few will answer that call. IT will grieve GOd to have even one be lost, but its all personal choice.
Great question. Press on with Jesus.

Yes. Our position in heaven will depend on what we do here. There are five crowns that we can earn. The more crowns we earn, the higher we will be in the kingdom.
Mat 11:11 Verily I say unto you, Among them that are born of women there hath not risen a greater than John the Baptist: notwithstanding he that is least in the kingdom of heaven is greater than he.

God is no Respector of persons.
He loves us ALL the same. That's why He sent His only Son to the earth...To die for ALL humanity.
The Bible says Whosoever.

Don't see why not. He's been playing favorites from the dawn of time. Or at least since the dawn of the bible.

Not at all.
He has the right ones in the right positions, but there are no favorites, as it is with men.
His ways are not our ways.
