Have you heard it said that man is never taller than when he is on his knees (Praying)?

Do you agree?

The analogy here is that man is at his best and therefore his "tallest" when he humbles himself before God to get on his knees to pray. ALL of these are great answers(well, most of them anyway)

Yeah that`s a good saying, Jesus said that unless you become like little children you cannot enter the kingdom of Heaven, children are actually pretty humble because they depend on grown-ups for everything, of themselves they own nothing and look to parents to sustain them.
This is the attitude that Jesus states that we need to have too, anyone Man or Woman able to humble themselves by praying to God on their knees is showing quite a bit of the same humble dependence of little children towards God.

I'm not sure I completely understand the analogy. I would say that it's the best place to be in any circumstance, however!

Yes, I've heard it. No, I disagree. I prefer the expression no man is so tall as when he stoops to help a child.

No. I'm 5'10 standing up, and 4'3 kneeling down (it's a bit difficult to get it accurate while kneeling, but about that).

Nope. I am taller when I am standing then when I am kneeling.

I dunno, I've just used a tape measure, and I seem to be a good 9" taller when not kneeling.
