I am 23 years old, a mother of two, and wife of a wonderful deployed Army soldier. My question is how to develop an interpersonal relationship with God. I need him in my life so badly and for years I've been battling with myself on trying to live right then falling back into the trap of living wrong. I try to sincerely pray to God but I wonder if I'm being sincere enough. I really want to change my life for the better and raise my kids and teach them about God, but I don't even know the direction of where my life is taking me. It's like I'm in a blank state of mind sometimes and I don't know what to do next. I'm tired of being this way so can someone please offer me some words of advice or encouragement that will help. I've even subscribe with televangelist websites but you always have to "pay"for an answer with them. So please help me. Thank you so much!

A man comes up to your wife and rapes her. His adult children beat up your elementary school children and you now incur very large medical bills. His friends are "having a good time" and in the process their gang of 100 rapes your daughter and kills your three brother-in-laws, who witnessed the event.

Somehow, the police didn't want to prosecute, secretly on the grounds of race, and rape was a way of life in your home country, where all of this took place.

As a Christian should you forgive these people or try to use the law to have them punished?

Say, ten years later, you've lost your job because people no longer wanted to do business with you. Should you forgive your attackers?

You are unemployed and jailed for trespass, you were one someone else's property and you were framed.

The most honorable judge in the entire land judged against you and allowed false testimony to be entered into the records as fact. From a reading of the records any common man can see the judge's error.

I don't live in the USA. The religious situation in my secular country in Western Europe is quite different from yours.

I would like to understand what are the problems between Non-Believers and Believers in the USA nowadays.

All you have is the bible...it could be fake, you have no proof what-so-ever to prove that jesus existed! You show me physical proof to prove that he lived as one of us and I will worship you. But as far as i'm concerned- you have none.

you all know the riddle by now i'm sure. the answer is nothing. what i'm confused on is the first part. the part i'm confused on is the first part. the poor have it? ok, so the poor have nothing. but the bible says, blessed are the poor for theirs is the kingdom of god. so if the poor have nothing and the poor have the kingdom of god, is it fair to equate the kingdom of god with nothing?

I'm about as theologically conservative as they come. I accept the label of fundie proudly. But I couldn't give a flip if people say happy holidays or merry Christmas --- mainly because I realize that there *are* other holidays celebrated at this time and secondly because that seems like a really stupid thing to waste venting your spleen on.

Are there Christians running around everywhere professing loudly how upset they are with "Happy Holidays"? None I know personally (and again, birds of a feather, I know a *lot* of fundies) have ever been upset by this.

Christians: does this upset you? If so, explain to me logically why?

Non-Christians: Is this really some epidemic in your opinion? If not, why do you post eleventeen questions a day about how mad you are at Christians because *they* are mad?

i guess i have been living under a rock lately because i heard that there was controversy but i didnt really care. i recently learned what the big deal is all about and as a christiani i am appalled. waht was the big deal? no one protested Amazing Grace or Passion of the Christ as much as this movie and they kinda sucked. I mean im sorry but i just dont get into those movies. Fellow christians need to know that they cant just argue over every movie that goes against their beliefs. First the da vinci code and now this? please. as a christian i am telling all other christians to grow up and let people make movies and do their job.

sounds like it is christianity that is not allowed not religion...i have also HEARD...that they are allowing the muslim children class time to go pray to thier alah. yet we cannot have gods name in the pledge of allegence anymore. uh, our money does say "in god we trust"...i think somebody got confused...

2B. if your answer to "2A" is "Yes," do you think its fair to vote against an atheist or agnostic because of his/her lack of belief, and why;

3. are, in general, just as ethical and moral as believers.

Merry Christmas? I am a card carrying member of the ACLU and a pagan I could give a flying flip if someone says Merry Christmas. I live in the Bible Belt and have returned Merry Christmas with Happy Yule and not a single one has "corrected me" or been ugly. I am not Christians biggest fan, but this is getting silly. Say whatever you want. Spread the cheer and goodwill and quit bickering over the stupid details. Why on earth is everyone freaking out about it?

the proper channels to fight for them like black people did..(courts, protests, etc)..

wouldn't it be the RIGHT thing to do, just giving them? why make people fight for their rights? I know he was just using this as an excuse to get around saying that he didn't agree with homosexuality, but i think he picked a piss poor argument
