Agnosticism is when someone has not completely dismissed the possibility of a supreme being (God, Allah or other), but is looking for proof. By comparison, an atheist (as I am) exercises rational thinking (as opposed to faith) and comes to the conclusion that such a being cannot exist.

If you're an agnostic you believe in the existence of some greater being or creator, but you refuse to follow by a specific religious creed. An agnostic is pretty much free to live by his/her own rules of morality. Of course, if there IS a heaven and hell he/she will be judged based on those deeds.

Agnosticism is unsureness of the existence of a god/gods, or the belief that such a being's existence can't be known for certain.

Basically, they're fence sitters.

True agnosticism is the denial of all truth. There are no true statements. Of course, that in itself would be a true statement, so...

What people don't realize is that agnostic does not mean that they believe in a god but don't know which one is real. That's called indecisive. Agnostic is the denial of all truth.

Agnostics simply don't know and generally don't take a stance either way.
