I thought it was because people like you say so.

The Bible itself certainly does NOT say so.

As a matter of fact, I can. If the Bible is correct, then only God is infallible. Since man recorded the words and has translated them into numerous languages, then there HAS to be errors, per the Bible, itself.
Of course, if it is completely correct (and, which version are you talking about, anyhow?), then God isn't the only infallible being, and the Bible still isn't completely correct.

Yes I know why the Bible is the inerrant Word of God. Because it God breathed. Psalms 12: 6 The words of the LORD are pure words: as silver tried in a furnace of earth, purified seven times. Psalms 12: 7 Thou shalt keep them, O LORD, thou shalt preserve them from this generation for ever.

Where does the bible say that the bible is the only word of God. That would have been a fairly difficult statement to make given that there was no bible when the different books were written.

I assume the "coz the Bible says so" is meant to be sarcastic. Ironically the one time I know where Jesus specifically said the scripture cannot be broken, is the verse fundamentalist deny means what it says.

John 10:34 Jesus answered them, Is it not written in your law, I said, Ye are gods?
35 If he called them gods, unto whom the word of God came, and the scripture cannot be broken;

Yup!

The bible doesn't say that at all. There are a few passages that might be interpreted that way, and there are many that say it is the word of god,but there is not one that explicitly states that the bible is either literal or without error.

The idea of biblical infallibility is tied up with the doctrine of papal infallibility, which is the catholic belief that the pope is god's agent on earth and thus is always right.

But, the Bible was written by man-telling of life and a G-d relationship, as he saw it. All of the holy books are holy and the word of G-d, in the eyes of their believers.

Yes, as there is no evidence to show the bible as a trustworthy source of information about god and many other things, then it can't be trusted when it says that it is the word of god.

I did know that. It's why I have stoned many a shoplifter to death, along with those infidels who go to work on Sundays...they had it coming...defying the Word of the Lord, like that.
