That's a quote from our fellow R&S member, "Death from Above."

And after some of the stuff I've seen around here lately, I'm starting to think he's right. What say the rest of you?

I have never before felt any sort of presence in our house but have seen a ghost twice when i was a kid so do believe strongly. Recently things have been going on in my house. I have seen shadows race past me, my cats been staring at things that are not there. I have been in the bath, heard a noise downstairs and when i came down both kitchen taps were running full blast and nobody else was home!Doors banging when i walk past. My boyfriend put a wash in the machine with 6 pairs of boxer shorts in and when he came to get them out they had all vanished and have never been found!that freaked him out! I was telling a friend about it the night that happened in a bar and heard 6 big bangs on the wall next to me whilst i was talking about it. My friend got freaked! on investigation there was no way the noises could have been made from the other side of the wall coz it was to high up and in the middle of pub. I also keep having strange dream about it. Any ideas?

I am asking because i am studying in Suwon, South Korea next year, and I am kind of hoping to find someone. I am not even going to bother with the girls who call themselves Christians in the U.S., since they can't seem to keep their legs closed.

Now it's your problem. Go.

Jihad is about self-correction, which definitely starts from oneself.

A Muslim in his lifetime passes through certain stages of belief and to stand against injustices & oppression, so is his response or reaction to tyranny & oppression. Hereunder are those stages:

1- Correcting oneself by standing Just towards all the matters in the daily routine.

2- Asking fellow men to stand on Justice in their daily routines.

3- Raise voice against Injustices in the society, that is, what is happening wrong in the society.

4- Standing up for the right of the oppressed people against Tyrant person or institution.

5- End Tyranny by word of mouth or by exerting social influences on the tyrant.

6- In case if that tyranny is causing loss of human life, and the Tyrant is not at all giving a heed, then in that case it is justifiable to resort to a Fight - but whenever during the fight Tyrant agrees to correct his ways - there must be a ceasefire.

If I don't believe in God and there is nothing after death, why do you think that makes life meaningless?

In the comments below, I have the basic reason for my atheism outlined, and I am curious if anyone can present serious challenges to it.

I should note that I am respectful of faith and find it valuable, but also note that it can be fragile, so I would caution those who are not used to critical evaluation of their faith or who would prefer not to look at arguments for atheism to leave this question alone; I am not here to shatter faiths, but rather to look at others' perspectives.

"However, unlike Kennedy, who praised "an America where the separation of church and state is absolute," Romney seemed to suggest that this separation has gone too far.

"They seek to remove from the public domain any acknowledgment of God," Romney said. "Religion is seen as merely a private affair, with no place in public life. It is as if they are intent on establishing a new religion in America — the religion of secularism. They are wrong," he concluded to vigorous applause."
