It seems to me as though many of my fellow atheists are too concerned about being politically correct; it’s as though many of them aren’t willing to get down and get dirty, so to speak. I’m talking about ‘upping the anti,’ taking the battle to the non-atheists, exploiting the weaknesses in mainstream religions and being more pro-active in general. We have picked a fight with the toughest kid in the playground, a kid for whom no level of dirty fighting is too low and we can either stand and fight or lurk in the shadows behind the toilet block. Do you not realize that we have an obligation to future generations to do all we can to be rid of the primitive superstitious nonsense that is religion?

Should the government pass a law to spend money on research to help these suffering individuals?
If there is no problem in the genetic structure, then isn't it a choice that they have made.

If u say quran is copy cat from bible.That mean your bible is easy to copy cat.I just challenge u try copy cat qoran if u can.That why bible cant be trust because it easy to copy cat not like quran it a same what we get from Muhammad until now.U can go around a world n buy any quran in any country your will find it same. Let me start off by saying I am a Christian. I read the bible and I think there are some very good and true messages in there.

Now, I would say I am also a scientific guy. I would say I have a decent grasp of logic too. I approach things in a logical way, I take a look at the evidence and make a judgement based on that.

I see questions/answers on here bashing Christians all the time on their scientific beliefs...you know...about evolution/creation, the Earth being 6000 years old, the Earth being flat and whatnot. And I know that a lot of people just think Christians are primitive and not very smart. Knowing all that I really try to look at all the evidence and make a scientific and logical choice on what I lean towards as truth.

However, I just really don't think the Earth is a sphere. What do you think of that? Does that make me illogical? Dumb? Ignorant? Share your thoughts...I won't be offended.

Say the rapture suddenly happened. The rapture is a time that theologists predict will happen based on their studies of the book of Revelation. Okay, here is the situation.

A while a go I noticed a user on Y!A had consistently 8 thumbs up on all of his answers, and 9 thumbs down appearing on all other answers. He has a "best answer" percentage rating in the mid 70% range - WAY out of the normal distribution.

So, I outted that person and since then -

ALL OF MY answers have been getting 9 thumbs up and 9 thumbs down on all of the other answer. There have been accusations that I was 'cheating' etc.

Fortunaltly, my public back log of answers (both good and bad) show a normal distribution, so my reputation is safe. I AM sorry about any curretn open questions that are suffering because of these tactics

I am having a problem with a certain sin. I avoid it lik crazy most of the time, but sometimes the pressure is too great. When I finally do give in, I tend to indulge in the sin for quite a while. Is this normal for a christian? How can I stop it? Please help!

ok so i am butt ugly (literally) ive never had one girl interested in me that wasnt desperate, i have no friends, and my whole school hates me and starts fights with me everyday. they call me dirtbag, and all that crap too. i also do not see my future going anywhere. i am 18 years old and my weekednds are spent sleeping the whole day. the kids in school were making fun of how ugly i was today, and everyone i meet kows i never had sex be4. THE THING IS all the drug attics and criminals that go into my school have gf's cars, friends, and a brighter future with peoplke who love them then me. i have never done drugs, drank or partied, and i lift weights all the time, and am nice to everyone. i walk away from fights and everything but i got cursed with ugliness and a meaningless existence what should i do? i swear im not exaggerating also. and i know some people have cancer, but at least they have people who love them. im a healthy 18 yr old male who lives day to day feeling useless
