You can't control death, but you control how you live. Live each day to the fullest and let go of the things you can't control. It would be a shame to be on your death bed and realize that you squandered your life away with unnecessary worry.

Decide what you CAN know with certainty about what will happen to you after you die. Will you leave family behind? How will they remember you? Will you have made a contribution to your world while you were alive? How will your body return to the earth?
Leave a legacy of love when you go. You might be surprised how much a simple thing like that will allow you to really live your life.

From the christian perspective, that is what it is all about. Now the question is what do you consider really living? As a Christian, I can let go and really live every day, and I do. I wake up everyday looking forward to what God has in store for me. I have a great wife, children, home, job, church family, but if I lost all that I could still have complete joy because I have eternity with Christ to look forward to. Read Matt. 10:10b ...I have come that they may have life, and have it to the full. God Bless

Let go of what? Who says I am not really living if I don't let go of it? Why do we have to wait until we die before we know what will happen to us. Most of the time we know what happens to us before we die.

I wonder that myself about people who insist there is no God. I on the other hand, because of my faith, am freed from the fear of death. It really makes you live life to the fullest and worry less about the troubles that come your way when you believe that God is in control. However awful and stressful my life becomes I always have the assurance that whatever happens, there is always better to come.

"you don't know what will happen to you when you die, and death is an absolute certainty."
If death is an absolute certainly, then OBVIOUSLY you do know what will happen when you die. You die.
*sigh*

Because I don't see any point wasting time worrying about something that is inevitable and over which I have no control.

The alternative is to not let go and live. I just can't go there.
