(Not to lie, or cheat, or steal, or hurt someone weaker than you, et al)

I'll start: I was just recalling my youth. And, even though I attended Sunday School regularly, I never learned it there. I don't recall them teaching it (The 10 Commandments) there.

During my early youth my parents told me "Don't lie, or cheat, or steal cause you will caught". So I made sure not to get caught when I did those things.

I guess my answer is: When I got my first broken heart I vowed to never do that to another person. Ergo I stopped even considering to lie, or cheat, or steal cause to do so might break someone's heart.

So the question is: When was the first time you (really) learned "right from wrong"?

In 1998, 72% of leading scientists were atheists. Another 20% were agnostics. Only 7% expressed a firm belief in God.

Are all these scientists "fools" and "blind to the truth" like many Christians claim?

Were once devout in their religion, and even went to "bible college".

So why does this seem to be a trend? If anyone viewing this question has had this experience, could you explain to me why your mind changed? If you haven't, then your thoughts are most welcome as well!

someone was telling me that in Daniel Chapter 6 verse 12 where it mentions the "Son of Man", that this is obviously Jesus and that this is a clear case of where you can see the Trinity in the OT. Jesus also calls himself the "Son of Man" many times in the NT. So now I'm a bit confused because if you go over to Numbers 23:19 it says that God is not a man nor a son of man. We say Jesus is God and man , how can we explain this problem?

in like 99% of talk tv shows when someone says that they had sex with another one the whole audience claps and cheer for them...

well, if sex before marriage is unlawful then why do christians cheer to other christians who make a sin ? and support them?
i totally dont get this.. just because the goverment dont have a law that says dont have sex doesnt mean its okay
i mean i know sex before marriage is a sin and also gay sex a sin too then why the heck do you support each other on making a sin ? dont you all love each other enough to go heaven? by not making a sin.
now, dont give me a smart *** answer and tell me
well, the audience arent' christians, the answer is No most of them are christians
ok if ur getting to that level, then check music videos its all about sex by certian christians ,,,pls dont give me " they arent christians" answer!!! that answer is just outta the table
but if ur going to say"well, they aren't real chris who practice it'
then you have another problem

I'm sick of people using their own personal religious beliefs against those who choose to live otherwise. They ruin the quality of life for their fellowman and that to me is the ultimate 'sin'.

Among non-Mormons, 62 percent think Mormonism is very different from their own religion, according to polling this summer by the nonpartisan Pew Research Center and Pew Forum. Some 53 percent said they had a favorable view of Mormons, compared with 76 percent who had favorable feelings toward Jews and Catholics, 60 percent for evangelical Christians, 43 percent for Muslims and 35 percent for atheists.

what is wrong with that paragraph?

They ask if you read the bible, but the real question is, did they?
First of all the bible was written a long time ago, and if anyone wants to say, "you shouldn't be gay" Well then I guess those people should be wearing sandles, have one pair of cloths and no home.
Heres an example: Are there any christians out there that believe it is right to have women priests, or women do anything for that matter? Well THE BIBLE FORBIDS IT.. just like being gay! and you know what else? Men.. You dare not wear a hat, or have long hair.. women, if youdon't have long hair, that is also a problem!

The bible needs to be applied to today. Times change. And culture plays a big roal in it, Jesus was belived to have long hair, while Paul, who never even met Jesus says that men should not have long hair...

The reason this bother me so much is because I am a lesbian and I belive in Jesus whole heartedly, and it hurts when you think you've found a christian friend, but they are really against you.

Is it fair that evangelical children are put into such a huge disadvantage because their parents are nut cases? Many will miss out on their chance to become a doctor, veterinarian, pharmicist, or scientist because of a wacko belief system imposed on them from their parents.

We have education standards in this country - should home schooling be done away with, and real science enforced to meet these standards?

now, let the hate begin..
