Lord Rama and Lord Krishna both were incarnations (Avataras) of Lord Vishnu.

Rama - The treatment which Sita received in captivity was better than might have been expected at the hands of a Rakshasa. She had asserted and proved her purity, and Rama believed her; but jealous thoughts would cross the sensitive mind, and when his subjects blamed him for taking back his wife, he resolved, although she was pregnant, to send her to spend the rest of her life at the hermitage of Valmiki. There she was delivered of her twin sons Kusa and Lava, who bore upon their persons the marks of their high paternity. When Lava and Kusa were about fifteen years old they wandered accidentally to Ayodhya and were recognized by their father, who acknowledged them, and recalled Sita to attest her innocence. She returned, and in a public assembly declared her purity, and called upon the earth to verify her words. It did so. The ground opened and received "the daughter of the furrow," and Rama lost his beloved and only wife.

Unable to endure life without her, he resolved to follow, and the gods favoured his determination. Time appeared to him in the form of an ascetic and told him that he must stay on earth or ascend to heaven and rule over the gods. Lakshmana with devoted fraternal affection endeavoured to save his brother from what he deemed the baleful visit of Time. He incurred a sentence of death for his interference, and was conveyed bodily to Indra's heaven. Rama with great state and ceremony went to the river Sarayu, and walking into the water was hailed by Brahma's voice of welcome from heaven, and entered "into the glory of Vishnu."

Krishna - In His next incarnation RamA became Sri Krishna and the hunter who killed Sri Krishna was none other than Angad himself.

Lord Krishna was reposing under the tree with His feet crossed. The hunter from far afar saw the feet moving and thought it was a deer and so he pulled the arrow. After seeing that it was Lord Krishna, the hunter cried and pleaded guilty but the Lord smiled and forgave him and said that it was all His plan.

The Lord descended on earth as a human being. He had to act as a human being and after finishing His task He had to leave the earth. So He planned to leave as a human being.

Everything happens with the will and plan of God. Nothing happens without His permission.

Thus the avatars of Lord Rama and Krishna ended-

Lord Ram.......it is generally believed that he ended his life by
jumping in river saryu along with his many
followers. Though this is not mentioned in any
text and thus can be attributed to Buddhist
onslaught on Hindu religion which was
prevalent around 200 BC.still no credible
mention is found about his demise.

Lord Krishna: He died b'cuz of an arrow injury used by a
hunter presuming his feet to be some prey.

As far as sri.Rama is concerned there is no information in sri.Ramayana of any language, except it is said that He lived and ruled for a long period. As far as sri.Krishna is concerned definite information is given in srimath Bhagavatham. His community people, because of a curse of a Rishi ,Yadhu Vanshis(paternal relatives) and Vrishnis(maternal relatives) attacked each other among themselves with very heavy Sticks and there were many casualities.sri.Krishna was very upset & sad on this incident. In a pensive mood he was lying on the branch of a tree full of green foliage and a hunter mistook his reddish foot for a bird and pierced it with a sharp poisonous arrow and His Aathma leaving behind the body went to Heaven(Vaikuntam)

AVATAR means one who DESCENDS [from above as a creature]. In that sense they are not "born", but appear. There they do not "die" and resurrect [a la Jesus myth]. They RETURN. Their mortal bodies too vanish.

Hence there are NO DEATH ANNIVERSARIES too.
