I keep hearing how hot lake hell will be....but my insubstantial soul doesn't seem to mind temperatures...nor does it get wet when submerged in liquid. so, i'm confused....why will my insubstantial soul be uncomfortable?

The Federal Bureau of Investigation reported in September that more than 1.4 million murders, rapes, robberies and assaults were committed around the United States last year, or a violent crime every 22 seconds.

The number of victims of violent crime in the United States last year was the equivalent of the entire population of European Union member Estonia or the African state of Gabon falling victim to murder, rape, robbery or assault.

The rate of violent crime was up by 1.9 percent compared with 2005, with murders climbing by 1.8 percent to nearly 15,000 cases last year. - AFP/de

Matthew 24:45 “Who really is the faithful and discreet slave whom his master appointed over his domestics, to give them their food at the proper time?"

You believe the "faithful and discreet slave" (notice the singular form of "slave" here) is a small and humble group of anointed men in Brooklyn New York.

DID YOU KNOW? According to Watchtower Dogma, most JWs do not know that the faithful and discreet slave actually make up the entire anointed remnant of 144,000, and only eight to ten of these anointed ones are chosen for the Governing Body.

Back to the matter, you believe the "faithful and discreet" recieve their information straight from Jehovah. So my question is this...Is Jehovah always wrong? Shouldn't the light that comes from Jehovah always be right? If the information comes from Jehovah, you should never have to have "new light". Did you know that JWs celebrated Christmas for decades before claiming it was "pagan"?

OK.. so what did they have that we don't have? Demographics show that we are living longer and we put that down to better hygeine and health and less manual labour.... or sommat... but seems in the bible what with famine, and plagues and being flogged and stoned for an assortment of minor misdemeaners.. those old bastards described in the bible lived for like .... hundreds of years!

So what's so special about them ol' timers and those times? Has no-one been worthy of a couple a hundred years of age over the last couple of thousand years of recorded history?

That is what the ancients used to think. Cant you see the fallacy in attributing a natural process to the supernatural? Where did life come from? Why assume God did it? Why not assume it was a natural process like everything else?

I have asked before many times not just here on yahoo answers that if a person is born and never learns about Jesus, his teachings or the Gospel do they go to Hell? 90% of the answers i recieved is no they wouldent, they would go to heaven. Because they cant help the fact no one tought them the TRUTH. So wouldent it be a wise idea to stop teaching all future generations about christainity so they all get to go to heaven. Think about it! We would be saving the rest of mankind from going to Hell!

I've been seeing a lot of responses in this category about faith and being gullible. Since when does believing in G-d make me gullible. Since when does knowing that someone greater then anything I can ever imagine loves me and accepts me no matter what, makes me an idiot.
I don't believe in G-d because other people tell me to, or because I feel I might go to Hell (because I don't believe in Hell)
I believe in G-d because, he's real. I can't prove it. But I know it myself. Honestly truly deep down in my heart He loves me. and i'm not childish for thinking that way.

So religion is meant to be about peace but yet sparks off one of the most heated arguments.
So lets settle this. This question unlike any other is not gonna be biased to one side.
Please for the sake of being open minded dont answer to this unless you have bothered to read this article -- http://news.nationalgeographic.com/news/2004/10/1018_041018_science_religion.html
I find it immensely interesting and definately sparks off a different way of thinking. And no this is not some lame article suggesting that you should convert to a certain religion and changing anothers ways of thinking nor is it one which tries to disprove all of the words of religion with supposed scientic evidance.
So as i say, please try to read this before answering. No bashing or arguments or poking fun for the sake of keeping the peace. I understand people have their own opinions on the issue but unfortunately these opinions tend to make people from each side rather cocky.

I mean after having kids (maybe) and it being hard, and no more alone time. Or finding out that Jesus is the only answer to fill a void that family cant even do. Or just knowing that the struggles in life are so great, its best to stay single and stay as firmly rooted in the word as the Bible states. And still enjoy people and life?

I have read quite often here in the Word where we say that as christians we can loose our eternal salvation. I want us to address this matter.
Each person posting in response to this crucial no nonesense matter MUST provide some valuable balanced scriptures to support their claim for or against this question.

Thank you so much for taking the time to put forward an answer to this question.

The earliest versions of creation of earth, creation of man, tower of babel, flood, etc. They were all written thousands of years before the old testament, it is obvious that they were taken from the earlier versions, they talk of two gods in charge, one wrathful, one a benefactor of man. In Genesis it speaks of single and plural gods, are we to only believe words from a certain time in history and ingore the rest??
