I mean after having kids (maybe) and it being hard, and no more alone time. Or finding out that Jesus is the only answer to fill a void that family cant even do. Or just knowing that the struggles in life are so great, its best to stay single and stay as firmly rooted in the word as the Bible states. And still enjoy people and life?

We all have a need for companionship with the opposite gender. It doesn't always become a bowl of cherries. But it can really be great.

"Two are better than one, because they have a good return for their work: If one falls down, his friend can help him up. But pity the man who falls and has no one to help him up! Also, if two lie down together, they will keep warm. But how can one keep warm alone? Though one may be overpowered, two can defend themselves. A cord of three strands is not quickly broken." Eccl.4:9-12
This was the text at our wedding 27 years ago, and I would say it has proven true in our marriage. We have encouraged each other and helped each other both spiritually and otherwise. Also, Jesus is the third strand of our marriage, the GLUE who has held us together.
On the other hand, marriage is the biggest school of learning to be UNSELFISH and putting the needs of the other person first... especially when you have children : )

Well, I am single and I am almost positive I'm going to stay that way.... It is peaceful I must say - no drama, no disagreements, no lies, no crisis. I have no distractions from the Lord. I completely depend on Jesus for everything. I do what I feel He wants me to do and He takes care of the rest.

For some people staying single is how God intended for them to be.
But not everyone can do this; and being someone who has been in a strong marriage for many years, I have to say that over all, I prefer being married.
