Not all Christians are fundamantalists. Only a minority.

Not all Christians deny evolution. Only a minority.

Not all Christians think that it's evolution or creation as a one-or-the-other deal. Only a minority.

If you knew more about our faith, you would not be asking this question. I wish you could try to find out more about Christianity--from someone who will make no attempt to convert you. You might be quite astonished to find out that the fundamentalists do not own the faith we have claimed.

I do not think much of them, but one of the thoughts I have had makes it a moot point. If God created everything with a faux age the fossils are part of the package and all our carbon dating is for naught. Think of it this way you are cruising through space and you land on Earth and you see a big huge tree and a man 6 foot tall or so. You would assume the man was 20 plus and the tree was well over 100 years old and yet they are really less than a week old. God being all powerful means attention to the details and the ability to create on a whim.

The other way is to believe God created through evolution and merely set things in motion and only takes intrest when he wishes.

The Catholic Church takes the same view of fossils that most people do. What is your point? Something to do with fundies,as usual? Addressing this lonnie fringe as if they were the Acknowledged Spokepeople for All Christian Everywhere - including almost two billion Catholics? If you want to address "Christians" so generically then address Catholics when you use the term, since we consitute the main body of Christianity - 75% according to the Guiness Book of Records. So no,most "Christian" do not deny the existence of fossils. You should read a book of Christianity sometime so you at least know who to address,or how. If this is for fundies, say so.

Fossils are the remains of animals or plants preserved by layers of sediments pressed on them quickly. This happened through the Flood when the animals died and were covered with layers of sediment.

If there had not been a flood, the animals would have just decomposed or been eaten by scavengers-- and there would be no fossils.

Fossils (from Latin fossus, literally "having been dug up") are the mineralized or otherwise preserved remains or traces (such as footprints) of animals, plants, and other organisms. The totality of fossils, both discovered and undiscovered, and their placement in fossiliferous (fossil-containing) rock formations and sedimentary layers (strata) is known as the fossil record. The study of fossils across geological time, how they were formed, and the evolutionary relationships between taxa (phylogeny) are some of the most important functions of the science of paleontology.

No mystery if you understood His Word. There was a earth and heaven age (dispensation on time, eon) before this one. Because of satan’s rebellion, God destroyed all life from earth. Animals were in flesh bodies ( thus, fossils). And, because God had not created flesh man until this earth age (10,000 to 12,000 yrs ago), no human remains ever found from first earth age.

They are fossils, no doubt. How do non-Christians explain them?

The same way non Christians do I suppose.

You didn't know that they say the great flood came and killed them all off and then the water mixed up all the layers of earth and then they settled and formed the new layers and that's how we have them today.

I am probably wrong because that's one of the most ridiculous explanations Ive ever heard. I don't research fairy tales that are scientific non sense.
