You believe that you must be born again to be a christian.
So anybody who has believed in god and accepted Jesus as his/her saviour since childhood is NOT a christian in your eyes.
Do I have this correct?

I understand that there are very few of the heavenly class remaining (those left of the 144,000) Why do not the earthly class honor Christ by taking communion?

I would like scriptural reasons that they should abstain, please?

Christians evangelize because they truly believe that they are saving eternal souls, but I dont understand why atheists care one way or the other.

There are several examples like this one in the Bible. Christ's baptism, his prayer after he raises Lazarus from the dead, ect. Does this not suggest that Jesus Christ and God the Father are seperate beings? and that Jesus was the Son of God, not God himself?

Do any of the writers of the bible teach that we should go to Church on the Sabbath or on Saturday or on Sunday?

Please don't explain it to me. Just give me the bible reference and I will read it for myself.

I mean, really... eternal torture... that's so unnecessary.

If god doesn't approve of me, then just erase me from existence. Snap your fingers, or blink your eyes, or do whatever it is that you do and erase me.

The very idea of ETERNAL TORTURE is disgusting, and the fact that billions of people believe it's going to happen and don't have a problem with it just goes to show you how religion warps the mind.

I would say yes. Support your answers with examples. What is the one word thing that can help you distinguish between a fact and a belief? Knowledge is not enough.

And if you say yes, do the hardliners of Science have the right to blame religious people for their beliefs that are not supported by science?

One thing i find annoying about YA is when people start mocking other peoples religion - i am a buddhist and have seen so many questions and offences about Mohammed on here. This person is loved by approximately 1.7 billion people (or so i learned at school last week in RE) and yet people come on here and start mocking him. Not just him, but Jesus too. Why do people want to hurt other peoples feelings? I know there is such a thing as being able to say what you want but is this not taking that right too far and hurting people on what they care about most? why do people want to hurt others?
I have heard about the bear story and think it is wrong, but does that mean cos of one or two people we can condemn the entire 1.7 billion muslims? i have muslim friends and i treat them with the same respect id want to be treated with

Most people don't realize that it was not until well after Jesus' time that the Romans (or anyone else) drank straight wine. That was considered gauche and a concept introduced by the Gauls (French) much later. Instead, the Romans typically drank half wine/half water.

So, the wine that Jesus produced from water was actually half water anyway.

This is directed at people who ALREADY have children, because they will have real people to think of when they give their answer, whereas people without children are thinking of an abstract idea.
I am curious, because I converted and everyone in my family kinda had a different reaction....I am just curious as to how others would react to their children converting.
Thanks =)

I was asking whether anyone knew of websites that show the correlation between education levels and religious fervor, okay?

I was NOT asking for anecdotal stuff.

I was NOT asking about basic intelligence; I was asking about education levels or backgrounds.

Immediately, a bunch of people were falling all over themselves, giving me anecdotal evidence concerning educated people who believe in Jesus, or whatever.

I'm asking the question again -- and this time, anybody that cares to, kindly read the question before answering, okay?

Question: If you don't know of a website or scientific study that talks about the correlation between education and religious fervor, why waste your time on this question?
