Sodom was invaded and looted (Gen 14). Lot, his family and most of the Sodomites were taken as slaves, but their King Bera managed to escape. Abraham is told about it. He arms his slaves and goes on hot pursue of the invaders for about 200 miles. They defeat them. Abraham recovers all the loot. Also, he liberates Lot and his family, and all the Sodomites! The liberated Sodomites must have danced naked before Abraham in celebration of joy all the way home like when King David brought the Ark of the Covenant to Jerusalem! Abraham became the national hero in the Kingdom of Sodom!

When Abraham and all the rescued Sodomites were safely returning home they were greeted by King Bera of Sodom and King Melchizedek* (*Christian theologians claim that he was Jesus in one of his epiphanies- Heb 7:1-3). King Melchizedek brought out bread and wine to celebrate Abraham's genuine "mission accomplished" feat! Bera and Melchizedek were bosom buddies!

all ask a bunch of questions and pick him as the best answer so he doesn't feel so bad anymore? I hate the mental picture I've had since he added to his name of him sitting in the sunshine mumbling, "nobody likes me, everybody hates me, i'm gonna go eat worms..."

And why?
I'm currently an Agnostic, because some stuff in the Bible is a little...hard to believe.
And Christans answer this:
Where did God come from
Where is He when I tried to pray?
Why doesn't He help us and the planet?

im not trying to start a religious argument, but i need to ask your opinion. first, if you are a christian i ask that you put your beliefs aside for just one second, evolutioionists i ask the same from you. please read my list and tell me which SOUNDS most appealing to you. (not which one you believe!!!)

creation-
*man was made in the image of god.
*man is a lost sinner
*each oerson has great value in the sight of god
* man has an eternal soul that will live forever somewhere

evolution-
*man was made in the image of beasts
*man in the pinnacle of evolutionary perfection
* man is the master of his destiny, not god
* the individual is of little value.

again, i please ask that everyone put their beliefs aside and just focus on the list and tell me which one sounds better to you

Earlier I posted a question part one, on whether or not Jesus Christ abolished the ten commandments, basically, I asked if we should still follow them, now that we are saved by Jesus Christ.

The overwhelming answer was YES.
There were a few, maybe 2 or 3 that said that we should not follow the ten commandments anymore, but I doubt they thought it through all the way, as they basicaly gave me, a christian, an open door to murder them.

My follow up to that question is...
If we are still to follow the ten commandments, by the same verses you showed me, should we still follow the food laws, which we 'to protect us' and made to help our lives on this earth.

I will include a link to the last question, so you may review your answers and the answers of others.

I am planning on wearing it under my shirt. But the dress code is polos, and I'm afraid it might slip out. The school is very Christian (But it IS A PUBLIC SCHOOL). The necklace makes me feel protected.

To wear or not to wear?

Hello Muslims,

Why have you chosen Islam as your religion to follow? Many say "Aahh the text is wonderfull to read" - Yes. So is a storybook, but this dosnt mean I should worship it.

You cant say you follow it because of the marvelous miracles Mohhomed commited, because quite frankley, he did nothing a normal person could not do.

Then there are other religions, that came before your religion, have the same "peacefull" text (which you borrowed), but have holy figures commiting amazing miracles. Surely believing this is enough to make you join that religion - but Islam has very little things like this.

You join it because it is a very buetifull and peacefull religion?

"O you who believe! do not take the Jews and the Christians for friends"

"The Prophet (peace_be_upon_him) said: Command a boy to pray when he reaches the age of seven years. When he becomes ten years old, then beat him for prayer. "

Why join this cult?

What did you do to make it better for yourself? Did you realize at some point why you were chosen for it? Did it make you a better person in some way? Did you ever ask to be released, or decline a calling?

Is there any scientific proof to disprove the Bible completely without using the Bible as a reference? Because I have heard proof without use of the Bible to prove the Bible, yet I have never heard of anything other than: insult, and useless circled arguements using (in many cases) out of context verses, without reading, and understanding the time period, and use of the scripture and what it truely means in the light of everything. (ie. divorce, Moses makes it so you have to have a paper to get divorced, Jesus says only on counts of adultry, does God telling Moses this mean God changed His mind? NO! God wanted us to realize divorce isn't a flipped thing, it should only be about serious things like adultry, which is a sin, and shows adultry as serious in a relationship, not that God doesn't care about the paper, or the adultry, it was to emphasize marriage, in a whole is more important and serious than a lot take it to be!)....so please any support?

according to the NT Jesus was baptized by John (the baptist) and the text clearly states that the purpose JTB's baptism ritual was to wash away sins. Mainstream (Paulian) Christians claim
JC was a divine being, perfect and sinless. So why did he get his sins washed away if he didn't have any? I think this is a rare instance in the Bible that shows the real historical Jesus, a normal human being., not the divine fictional construct that was invented by Paul of Tarsus and others of his Ilk. I suppose hypothetically the divine Jesus could have been faking it for some reason but that would show JC to be a poser and insincere , If not a hypocrite. It could also be a bit of NT fiction as there is certainly plenty of that in the NT. what do you think?

One is one whom is unforgiven and one is a more proud,'' I quit' way about it. They treat me the same right? Only thing is I made the decision. Thing is all the people I'll have to put on an act for will be hurt, right? Maybe I could be both disfellowshipped and dissasociated. Would that work? Maybe they'll leave me alone if I dissasociate myself. Should I? I might really feel prouder this way. What do you think?

I mean, the figures coming out lately about the slide of comparative education levels in USA are alarming to say the least. The secular European nations are well ahead, and let’s not forget atheist China. The US government seems to rely on religion to control the masses but as the world progresses, this antiquated form of control is proving to be a real hindrance. The constitution says to separate religion from state but as atheism is not a religion at all, maybe the government will very subtly start to support atheism for the purpose of increasing America’s competitiveness in education and technology? Because those statistics that show a distinct negative correlation between education and religion speak for themselves….
