NO... The Holy Quran has criterions for getting entry into Heaven, and none of them is that you have to be a Muslim. They are all based on Good Works/Prayer/Belief in a higher power for example: being good to your parents, giving support to the poor... the basic societal moral deeds..
A BAD Muslim will burn in the fires of hell, and a good moral person that is a Jew/Christian will see the eternal lights of Heaven. This is in the Quran... Like the many comments above, people misunderstand the concept of an Infidel and in what context is an infidel condemned in the Holy Book. The infidels that the Quran mentions are strictly within context of the particular event/history in which it is mentioned. For example... the Quran says defend yourself from the infidels and you may use force. When people read this out of context it seems like all the Quran does is condemn every non-muslim, but.. they fail to read the entire verse/chapter in which these specific "group" of infidels are constantly killing and assaulting the newly formed Muslims under Prophet Mohammad (PBUH). When God permits the use of FORCE anywhere in the Holy Quran it is ONLY for self defense. Every single time the Quran speaks of using force against someone its always in the context that you can only use it to defend yourself or another innocent person. You have to READ the whole CHAPTER not just A VERSE to get the moral meaning out of the entire story. This IS TRUE for all BOOKS not just the Holy Quran. It inflames me when I see people quoting the Quran OUT OF CONTEXT and using it as a base to insult the book itself. It is childish and WRONG.
But back to your question... If you are a Muslim and pray 5 times a day but after your prayer you insult your parents ... you will be accountable for the consequences... If a Christian goes to church and comes home and respects his/her parents all the time and is a morally good person HE or SHE WILL GO TO HEAVEN. THIS IS contrary to the Christian beliefs that no matter how much SIN you commit as long as you truly believe in Jesus Christ at some point in your life, your sins will be forgiven. This Christian theology is something that I strongly disagree with.

Catholics believe that the only way to go to Heaven is to believe in God. If you really want to go to Heaven, then you will. That is what Catholics are taught. However if you live a life of mortal sin, no repentance, and no relationship with God, then you wont have the burden of going to Heaven because God doesn't make you go if you don't want to be with him. I just wanted to correct you.

after living in Muslim country's for 3 years i can safely answer no to this question. just like Christianity there are all different types of Muslims with all different beliefs. there is even one type that believe that every one goes to hell for a certain period of time depending on how much they sinned in this life.

No, it is said in the Quran that there will be christians and jews that make it to heaven because Allah will weigh out our good deeds versus our bad deeds and some, even if not muslim, will have been good enough in their manner.

Surely, those who believe and the Jews and the Christians and the Sabians - whichever party from among these truly believes in God and the Last Day and does good deeds, shall have their reward with their Lord, and no fear shall come upon them, nor shall they grieve.

Yes. Actually they believe in a place where you go to have a bunch of wives and make kids. Doesn't sound very heavenly to me. Sounds like
slave labor (for us women). Good thing their made up heaven doesn't exist. But the Heaven where the desires of sinful men do not rule and Jesus is king is the one and only true heaven.

That only scratches the surface. They think much less of the infidels(all non-muslims) than that.
