Probably not - if the way people refuse to heed the indications of global warming is how they'll act for every impending catastrophe, sooner or later civilization (and perhaps life itself) won't survive. Yeah, a few people will try to avert disaster, but the majority just switches channels...

There is no finite beginning nor a finite end. The cessation of one heap of parts (whether you call it a human, or a car or whatever) becomes the causes and conditions for something else to arise. I'd say that's pretty darn cool.

And I can't tell, because what happens in the end will happen because of what we've done over the years. Chances are that if changes don't kick in now, the outcome won't be "all right", as you put it.
