I came across Howiej28 question to Jehovah's Witness about a member who left the organization and how he can no longer speak to him. Why not? I am studing and my bible instructor did not tell me that current memebers can not associate with ex-members. So if I had a friend who left the organization I would not be able to communicate with them??? Even if they are still a good person but no longer believes what I believe? I do not know if I want to be apart of an organization that does that. So the love of the organizaiton is conditional??
So I will only be able to communicate with Jehovah Witnesses? That sounds cultish.

Christmas is coming, and I don't know what to get my best friend!

She became a Baptist a few years ago after athiesm, and has built a strong passion for it. She's turning 17, loves crosses, has many Bibles (but hasn't really read too much of them), and likes some Christian Rock (I think she listens to a group called Casting Crowns?).

I want to get her something that will let her know I;m grateful for everything she does for me. I shopped for some crosses, but I want to get her something truly special. I practice a different Christian religion and am not too enveloped in it, so I need help on deciding what to get her!

I just asked a question about people being offended by Merry Christmas, and some of the answers made me wonder about this subject as well! We are used to "Merry Christmas" or "Happy Holidays," but we rarely hear "Happy Hanukkah" or "Happy Kwanzaa." Would you be a bit surprised or startled if a store worker said this to you after completing a sale?

If this is true, does it mean that no matter what we do, God will intervene? :)

I'm 15. I am home-schooled for CCD and extremely behind in it. I strongly dislike it for the following reasons:

1. I don't believe in God. Sorry for everyone who will post Bible verses and try to prove me otherwise, but I don't. I am not a religious person, and that has been my way . Unfortunately, my mother does not know that because if I did tell her, she will most probably send me to a Catholic school in the Philippines. If she doesn't do that, she'll send me to a Catholic school in California.

2. I am in all AP and Honors classes and I haven't slept before midnight since school started. I have SO much work. I'm really pissed at myself right now for not doing my homework right now, but I need to ask this question. Finals are in two weeks and my mother scheduled a CCD test for me in the middle of finals. And she won't listen to me when I say I can't handle CCD on top of everything else.

What can I do?

if not any religion support this culture then why it continously prevails in the society?

This question is open for all religionists of any faith, not for atheists or anti-Theists. (Agnostics too ? Hmm Maybe OK if you are an "on Fire, Fundamental, Evangelical Agnostic who knocks on your door and tells you that he/she is absolutely sure she/he doesn't definitely know what he/she--she/he is talking about ! Ha ha)

Seriously now, please state in a few words what each human must believe to be saved, and indicate how strong this belief must be, such as: absolutely perfectly, strongly, somewhat, weakly, very faintly; and for how long, such as: life long, most of the time, just one time. Then list your religion. Thank you !

Peace and progress into all Truth !

Does it apply to the internet where you are anonymous and nobody can give you any lashes if you slip up?

2007-11-29 10:31:08 · 7 answers · asked by Anonymous

Did it ever occur to anyone that the news is news for that very reason, because it's not the norm? A British teacher getting lashes for a name?? Worse was done to the Prophet (SAAWS) in his lifetime and he took absolutely no action unless his life or another's life was in danger. When the Quran started to be revealed, his own clan turned against him and was constantly lying about him. They were constantly telling anybody he talked to that they should move on because he was crazy. He took no action against them and never did.

And why blame every single Muslim, especially on this board? Anyone with common sense knows the psychopath/sociopath extremists who violate every part of the religion won't be on here reading or answering. So why blame all of us?

Oh, and for those who say Muslims don't speak out, just check my profile. You'll be surprised at the number of Scholars and Imams speaking out. Who's bin laden? Just a hellbound murderer. What is your say?

If you died, and saw god,and asked him what the meaning of life was, what do you think he'd say? I imagine he'd say "who the hell are you?..a human?..from Earth?..oh yeah,Earth.I remember creating you guys. So,how are things?"..The stories I'd have for him.So what do think He'd say?
