I like Christians who embody the values Jesus did: compasion for the poor and outcast, calling the rich and powerful to social responsibility. I dislike Christians who condemn anyone who doesn't believe or act exactly as they do. I also dislike Christians who insist on holding others to narrow moral standard while excusing themselves in the name of God.
I really like the Bible. It has a wide variety of viewpoints and experiences, most with some kind of moral message (or warning as the case may be.) I hate when the Bible is idolized and used to punish innocent people.
I like the idea of an overseeing God who comforts the helpless and eventually makes all things right, even if I don't believe in the actuality. I dislike the God of revenge and arbitrary authority that requires people to jump through metaphysical hoops or be damned. Unfortunately, too many Christains want to be friends with the latter. I suspect that the only possible "God" would be a subtle, fundamental quality of the universe rather than a disapproving judge standing to the side.
I like the idea of a Church as a vibrant community of hope and determination to make a better world, nurturing and challenging each other to build up the "kingdom of God". I greatly dislike a "Church" that is more about membership and privilege than peace and justice.
It's never the religion. It's what people do with it that matters.

I'm an atheist.
The Bible's not too bad, as a piece of literature. It certainly has some large dull spots, but there are parts I truly enjoyed. I don't like the effect it has had on people, but that's a human decision.
I don't dislike God because He doesn't exist. I don't hate Santa or the Easter Bunny either.
I don't dislike Christians as a rule, but I tend not to like fundamentalists, because they like to push their views on others. They tend to hate people for not thinking the same way they do, and I believe that many of them would exile or destroy atheists if they could get away with it. Even that's not always the case -- I do have one friend that is a fundamentalist. We just agree never to discuss religious matters, because when we do it strains the friendship.
And thank you, it's nice to be loved forever.

Hi Ruthie. I'm an Asatru Heathen, meaning I believe in the Norse pantheon of gods and myths. I left Christianity because it never took in my life and the Bible just left me confused. There are so many contradictions and so much about Christianity that left me not believing any of it.
Practicing Christians, for the most part, are good people. There are a number that try and convert anyone not of the Christian faith and sometimes those of other Christian branches (wrong church/right church) and some won't take "no" for an answer.
Then there's the bit about homosexuality being against the religion and a loving god that condemns the majority of the world to eternal torment. That did it for me.

I only dislike Christians who have no respect for other people's beliefs and insist that they know the only way to do things. What would they do if everyone followed them, and they turned out to be wrong anyway? After all, no one can possibly be 100% right.
The Bible is questionable because it was written by humans. No matter how much they claim divine inspiration, being put down by human hands makes it suspect, not to mention it has many things in it that very few if any people follow. How many women are banished from their homes during their menstrual cycles, even though the book says they should be?
I have no problems with the divine. It's people's interpretations of the divine that's the problem.

I dont dislike anything as a whole
I have found some inspiration in the bible ( although there are many parts I dont agree with )
I believe in God , although the God I believe in seems to be different from the OT God
and I have wonderful Christian friends ... although many other Christians feel the need to email me and damn me to hell
it would be silly to say I dislike any of these things , just because I dislike aspects of them

Keep the love kid. I'll answer though, it's that endless mindless devotion to an implausible storyline. Namely Jesus died for our sins, it's ridiculously unresolvable and when this is brought forth to the attention of a Christian that elects to engage they refute with the argument that faith answers all questions. Other than that I'm cool with the believers, hell I believe in a God that has a Cat face named "Sparkles". She likes milk and has pretty fur!

I have nothing against Christians as people. It's their cult and what it has done to their minds that I detest.
The Bible probably started out as a good spiritual guide, but along the way, not only did society evolve well past its relevance, but mankind twisted and warped every word inside to his/her liking. Ask 100 people who have read the Bible to give you their interpretation of its "truth", and you will receive 100 very different answers. That all but invalidates any claim to truth it could ever contain.
I've got nothing against God. He doesn't exist.

I don't dislike Christians as a whole. I certainly don't dislike God or the bible. I do however, dislike *some* Christians who like to judge others and tell them where they think they will end up in the afterlife. I also dislike the few Christians who like to exclude those they whom they think do not conform to their version of Christianity (ie. "no, you're not a christian").

I don't dislike Christians, only the obnoxious, political loudmouths who think they have the right to tell everyone else what to do because their magic books says so.
The Bible is a contradictory mess of a mythology. Most of it is downright boring.
I can't dislike what isn't there.
