The concept of god, religion, community are very sensitive. Any book that discuss about these subject are outcomes of high level emotions or they are the point of views of the authors. It is how they view those sensitive issues. A man is father to his child, husband to his wife, son to her parents, Boss to his subordinate and subordinate to his boss. If a man can be viewed from so many angles, why not the sensitive issues be viewed differently.
The question is, if Bible is written by a single man why it contradicts..?. It is simple. The Bible could not have been written within short period. It would have taken a few years. The author's knowledge and experience could be widened or enlightened more for many reasons. It could have reflected in the book.

I quote a great teaching from the Holy Bible "If you search, you shall find". I therefore is of the opinion that you have taken the path to search the contradictions in the Bible. You may please understand that the Holy Bible is not a Novel, Fiction or not a combination of ideas etc. but the words in it are the WORDS OF LORD for the mankind, to be read and understood and follow if you are so willing. I cannot agree with your contention that the Holy Bible is with full of contradictions, which you could find out with the help from INTERNET. I once again emphasise that the Holy Bible is the WORD OF LORD, and those who accepted this cannot see or find contradictions in it.

Show us the contradictions if you are so sure about them. Don't let satan fool you, the devil was a liar from the beginning and still is. Look up John 8:44, its right there. Everybody wants to pick the Bible apart instead of following its teachings, like Love thy neighbor as thyself. Thats not a contradiction is it. How about thou shalt not murder, steal, lie, those are laws today, but they have been in the Bible for all time. Don't let the devil pull you down, the Bible is real, and so is Jesus, thats why everytime you see a Cross it reminds you of Jesus. Its in our hearts and minds, we struggle with it I know, but Jesus is real just the same, Pick up a Bible, and read the Gospel of John, then give me an email if you have a question, seek and ye shall find, knock and it shall be opened unto you. Take one step towards Jesus and He will take two steps towards you. Give it try, what have you go to lose. God Bless!!!!!!

The bible was written over centuries, nothing remains the same, events change and contradict themselves, however matters of the heart never do. That is why people can still apply the ten commandments today. I will never understand why people feel the need to rid the human race of some basic logical principals, laws and ethics. It isn't like we burn people at the stake for not believing in God, however there will always be a need for the principals outlined within the bible, without them, there would be nothing but chaos. Think of it in these terms, some writers wrote from a republican view and some wrote from a democratic view, but all writers wrote because they were inspired by God to do so. ;-)

Maybe you would have helped your cause if you'd added a link.
There are so many contradictions within Bible (aka Goat Herders' Guide to the Galaxy) cos there were so many authors writing all the different books and parts of the books as well as all manner of people translating from one language to another - AND every single one of them had HIS own agenda.

It is a compilation of the accounts ofd too many people .Too many cooks spoil the broth. Umpteen number of attempts have been made to remove the contradictions at diferent ocassions .Still there thre are contradictions and defects otheer than contradictions. this is nt the case exclusively of the Bible .The other religious texts are ar equally so .they are all equals in the eyes of God..There is one thing in common in all. That is, lies introduced to impart divinity and miracles !

Take any section in any book and comb through it to pick another section you can make anything contradict anything else. Especially if it is something written over thousands of years, by many different people addressing many different people and cultures at differing points in history.
One would be surprised if there weren't any to be found.

Contradictions....naaaa How about difference of opinions.??
Ive seen more contradictions on R&S that Ive seen in the Bible.. But yep there are a few....and I am not about to get upset about it. I try and figure out what the author of a particular book or letter is trying to say...and is it meaningful?
I once heard a comment... if you are seeking the positives in life you will sure find it...
And if you are seeking the negatives... you will surely find it.
Ok Bubb... what are you seeking??????
Edit: Help an under-educated and illilterate Christian out... cite those contraditions for me..

There are ZERO contradictions in the Bible. The ones who say they are, or claim to have found some only say so because they either misunderstand, misinterpret, or just don't do enough research to clarify the issues.

There are no contradictions in the Bible. You as the poster of the question need to be specific as to what you think is a contradiction. I have seen the alleged contradictions posted on the Internet. It is a case of not understanding scripture that leads one to believe it is a contradiction. Be specific on your question please.
