This question is open for all religionists of any faith, not for atheists or anti-Theists. (Agnostics too ? Hmm Maybe OK if you are an "on Fire, Fundamental, Evangelical Agnostic who knocks on your door and tells you that he/she is absolutely sure she/he doesn't definitely know what he/she--she/he is talking about ! Ha ha)

Seriously now, please state in a few words what each human must believe to be saved, and indicate how strong this belief must be, such as: absolutely perfectly, strongly, somewhat, weakly, very faintly; and for how long, such as: life long, most of the time, just one time. Then list your religion. Thank you !

Peace and progress into all Truth !

Interesting answers so far; some are close, but not complete or too long. I can state this as a Jesusonian Christian in about five simple words.

For Christians to carefully consider: How about a 8 year old boy, born overseas in a remote mountain village of illiterates, who only had one "holy man teacher" visit that village some hundreds of years ago, and told them that to be saved, they had to believe in Mousawabicargodek the Great who is their One True loving Heavenly Father and Mother who made and resurrects each believer into eternal life. This was long taught as oral tradition in that village. The parents one day teach this to the boy; and he said that he believes this; then he gets killed by a falling rock that evening. Is he saved? By Whom?

For Christians: If one has to believe in the name Jesus Christ and not just personally know His Spirit Presence upon all humans, then most of the 6.5 billion humans now living on earth could not ascend to heaven ! At least 2/3 of all humans would not be saved ! This is not the perfect will of our Creator Father Jesus Christ ! Read now and believe John 12:32 and others.

Jesus often taught by asking questions; so should we. Why do you not do the same? :))

I believe that through the Holy Ghost The basics of morality are made known to all people, and that God a loving Father would not turn His back on any of His children.

Dave, Your profile claims many years of spiritual study, although it doesn't specifically mention Christianity - it seems to allude to it, THEREFORE,

Why do you continue to ask questions that you already know the answer to? I thought Y/A was to gain answers to questions to build people's knowledge. Many of your questions are things you already know. What's the point?

Even if you are vague on this point, so many of us write these basics of salvation/access to heaven. But, for the record:

Jesus Christ is the way, the truth, the life. No body comes to the Father, but by Him. I must believe in Jesus Christ. That He is the one who was executed for my sins and resurrected to give me the power to live as God wants me to. When I ask Him to apply this forgiveness to me and become the God of my life I am made a part of God's family. When I die I will be welcomed into heaven after death..

God is the judge of my faith. He said that "according to your faith be it unto you". God's mercy will judge our faith. If weak faith is the best I can do, then God will accept that. If my faith is of the highest caliber, then God will accept that. I am not to judge another's faith, only god has that purview!!!

I have no religion, I have a wonderful relationship with Jesus Christ that means everything to me. I do go to a protestant church and spend time with other believers. The exact church is not pertinent here. I love other believers and do my best to concentrate on what we share in common, not what divides us in our understanding!

Jesus Christ the Son of the Living God.

That He is lifted up & will draw all people to Him.

That we all sin & come short of Gods Glory. Jesus bore our sins on the cross. He shed His blood for remission of our sins. He gave His life as a ransom for many.

Whosoever confesses Jesus Christ their Lord & believes in their heart He raised from the dead shall be saved.

You need to believe Jesus is the Resurrection & the Life. Because Jesus Is sinless, sin couldn't keep Jesus in the grave. He raised from the dead. The rest of us have sinned & died (stayed in the grave).

You need to be honest before God. Look up with an honest heart. Confess with your mouth & believe in your heart. This is how God creates in us a new spirit man. Our new spirit man blends with our soul. This is also how God created everything (With the Word of God & Gods Faith.).

Let's take a God view of this. A God who just needs us to love God and each other as he has loved us and acknowledge God as God. That's all. God is the Eternal One God of the whole world, the God of Christians, Jews, Muslims, Buddhists, the Hindu, and any other faith that exists. All of these paths, when practiced by those who follow their own inner light, converge on the same point and when that point is reached we all equally blessed by the infinite love of God. To underscore the point, God sent Mary, the Mother of God to appear at Fatima named for the daughter of Muhammad. Unfortunately, this is a God who looks down on a world where more than 50 million of his children were murdered in wars in the last century based in whole or part on religious differences. So this is a God who knows how far his children have yet to come in a short space of time to be prepared for God to reign over the whole earth.

Jesus Christ is the creator son of our super-universe. He chose to bestow himself on earth and became the sovreign ruler of this super-universe we live in, when his life here concluded. Christ is always about his Father's business. Belief and faith in Christ, along with a sincere desire to live eternally in service to God, is all that is required to be resurrected into a higher heaven.

When you've emptied of every belief you have ever been taught, you are in the highest heaven in the eternal now. Only then are you capable of perceiving anything accurately or knowing anything for certain.

Good luck.

(Hinduism) I believe in reincarnation and evolution. And every being has a consciousness (at a level), as the intrinsic nature, and every life is an experience to add to that nature. Once you are fully conscious or knowledgeable, what is left for them other than salvation.
