What types of things do you do and how can I respond to people who doubt my beliefs because I like Christmas? Does celebrating just for fun and family tradition make you any less of an atheist?

Naturally, I would include a card with the bear, reminding her not to name it "muhammad" lest her lash-count be increased again, and her chances of survival diminish to zero.

a bunch of biblical quotes from him during this time? Why no journal? After all, the future of humanity and of all the animal life on the planet was hanging on the success of his Ark. Yet....nothing at all about caring for all those animals, or how the food supply was holding out, or how long they might be cooped up on the boat, or what the conditions were when the boat was finally left high and dry on Ararat. Why?

... see the comparison I was trying to draw with the "Protestantism" question back there to the typical Creationist "argument" regarding Evolution? (i.e.: if we came from monkeys, why are there still monkeys...)

Sheesh: sarcasm is dead.

Our pastor likes to get up in church and brag about his salvation, I am trying to remember where I read in the Bible that says boasting about your own personal salvaion is wrong.
I am able to find the part where you are not to brag about your works, but this one is eluding me.
Please, serious answers only : ) Thanks!

cant people understand its the Sudanese government that has decided the fate of the teacher NOT the muslim population. As a friend to many muslims and a wife of one I know it is not the religion that is evil but obviously there are extremists that are in a minority. It just saddens me that there are people here who just want to attack every muslim and disrespect their beliefs.c'mon people surely you must know im right?

Whose students named their teddy bear Mohammed? Was this *really* an isult?? Do you think that insulting the name of Mohammed deserves a sentence of jail and a lashing (which, by the way, can tear a person's skin right off their back).

If you don't, what are you going to do to stop future sentences like this?

2Corinthians 5: 17-20
Therefore if any man [be] in Christ, [he is] a new creature: old things are passed away; behold, all things are become new. And all things [are] of God, who hath reconciled us to himself by Jesus Christ, and hath given to us the ministry of reconciliation; To wit, that God was in Christ, reconciling the world unto himself, not imputing their trespasses unto them; and hath committed unto us the word of reconciliation. Now then we are ambassadors for Christ, as though God did beseech [you] by us: we pray [you] in Christ's stead, be ye reconciled to God.

Not the followers necessarily, but the religion's system and principles. Does any of this make sense in the 21st century? Shouldn't many of these ideas have been left behind in the Dark Ages?

Before I read about it on this forum, I had no idea it was comming. I watched the advert, and on the grounds of what I saw (Kids fantasy film-very potterlike) I decided I would not be seeing it. Not a religous decision. Now however since I have read arguments against it(daily) I feel like I have to see it.

Do people, by making a fuss of this film actually promote it beyond the powers almost any markting team?

With the exception of when he speaks ex cathedra, can Roman Catholics disagree with the Pope on certain issues?

For example, I know many Catholics who use artificial contraception and I know one girl who believes that animals have souls.

Thankyou
