why such hostility to muslims on this site?

cant people understand its the Sudanese government that has decided the fate of the teacher NOT the muslim population. As a friend to many muslims and a wife of one I know it is not the religion that is evil but obviously there are extremists that are in a minority. It just saddens me that there are people here who just want to attack every muslim and disrespect their beliefs.c'mon people surely you must know im right?

Just my honest and sincere belief: as you claim that you "know it is not the religion that is evil", have you taken the time to read the koran and the real/true history of muhammed? Just curious.

Personally, my dislike is only of Muslim men, and it's not from a hysterical media. I met a LOT of them living in London, and boy does Islam churn out a high percentage of misogynist ***-holes. An attractive western women with large breasts that lives in a Muslim neighbourhood will end up fed up with Muslims in six months.

I've done a fair amount of reading into the life of Mohammed and the Qu'ran, and it really does fuel a crappy attitude to women. Mohammed had war captive sex slaves, a load of wives and concubines and married a nine year old. Not a nice guy to women. Islams prevailing attitude to women is medieval.

What religion had 100% influence on the Sudanese government to make this decision? I would like to know where in the Quran it says that teddy bears are forbidden to be named Muhammed!

I hate all religions. However because some muslims make it clear by the ridiculous nonsense that they spout that they are ignorant and talk about a religin which is so repressive that not only should it have been abolished centuries ago, it should never have started.

I don`t think it`s just on this site to be honest. Maybe if they try harder to weed out the radical element and put a stop to uncivilised behaviour the rest of the worlds population will think they are acceptable. I know it`s the minority but they are a pretty vile minority.

So many people are entirely ignorant of Islam and although it's not their fault that they were never taught about Muslims, it is their fault that they are too afraid to try now.Only the ignorant can blame an entire people for the crimes of a fraction. Like how some white people accuse the entire black race of being drug addicts on welfare, or how some of both accuse the entire Hispanic race of being illegal aliens stealing away our jobs. It's just ignorance and people fear the unknown. Only instead of shining a light to see what it really is, they prefer to stumble around blindly and bump a few table corners or be lead by another blind leader to bump a few table corners.

The muslim population on here have signally and abysmally failed to condemn this latest outrage outright and in doing so have offended decent secular liberal opinion in the process.
Maybe when you apologise abjectly and withdraw your offensive threats and slurs, you will gain some measure of acceptance.
I see some creature that calls itself 'al qiyama' is gloating over 9/11 and blaming the govt instead. That is an insult to the memory of the 3000 dead and equivalent to holocaust denial.

There's hostility to everyone, it mainly depends on the times of day. (I'm in UK so i'm speaking for our time) at night theres hostility to muslims, in the morning its to atheists, through the day it changes from Christians to Jews every hour and then back to the night where its muslims. Its a vicious cycle but thats how this site works.
