God cares about everything. Having all knowledge, all power, and all goodness, God cares about us having healthy, enjoyable lives. God cares about us being attractive and upstanding examples of humanity perfected through Christ.

God also has given his creation free will, through which conscious choices to turn away from god in millions of different ways exist, and from this, all sin, disease, and ugliness has arisen.

If someone is overweight, they are not living up to god's perfect plan... but attractive people who spend all day making themselves look beautiful so they can get a lot of sex are also not living up to god's perfect plan. In fact, nobody is living up to god's perfect plan, and I've known quite a few overweight believers that are a lot closer to his plan than skinny little me.

Sure god cares if someone is overweight. He wants the best for us, and being overweight is not the best for us. He wants to make us perfect, and being overweight is not perfect.

God cares if someone is overweight, just as much as he cares if someone is loosing hair, or drinks too much... God cares about it because he cares perfectly. He allows people to be overweight because he loves perfectly. He accepts us as we are because he forgives perfectly.

The question really should be: do people need to be concerned about weight? Is weight what God cares more about? Of course not. Weight is of the body, and the body will pass away. All this flesh will fall away.

I think it is more likely to assume that God cares about why people overeat to begin with, what underlying causes keep them overweight, and how being overweight affects their life. I think these are the things people who are overweight should also care more about, and seek to change, rather than the number on their scale.

I don't think that God cares whether people are overweight or not ... but God does not like Gluttony, which is eating too much simply because you can, while others around you may be starving. Gluttony is a sin ... being overweight is merely a 'human problem' that is partly based on 'what society thinks is normal' and that is NOT 'God' but mankind deciding the 'overweight' ...

God loves EVERYONE and doesn't care if you are overweight. God would prefer you to be healthy, and clean so if you are so overwieght that it keeps you from going out and being a good person and it is unhealthy for you then you might want to change some habits, but God isn't going to send you to hell for having a few extra pounds on you.

What is your belief of god? The god i hope and pray to doesnt care how i dress or what i look like, her cares about the actions i take and how i benefit the people i love and care about. yes it is true that over indulgence is a sin, but there are so many greater evils in our lives to fight than obesity.

God hates when you damage your temple. Your body is a gift from God and the temple of his spirit, so God wouldn't like anything that you might do to inhibit your ability to share your faith and be an example of faith. He would love you just the same as he ever did, as the imperfect creature that he created, however...

Of course he does! It makes him sad that the overweight person is suffering from underlying issues that they try to solve or soothe themselves with food. He's sad that the person is so unhappy and not living the life he gave that person to the fullest. He's sad that the person will suffer from a variety of ills because of being overweight. He loves all of us and can be sad because of the choices we make. He doesn't love us any less, though.

God care about anyone no matter what size form or shape, for he created all of us in his image. There's no need fro anyone to be beating themselves up over size, you should be proud of yourself and you should not let people judge you. God loves everyone just about the same

You should take care of your body yes, because your body is a temple. But god doesn't care- he wants you too be happy and if you are happy overweight- RAD!

Acoording to the christian religion.... the body is a temple, its a gift god gave to you, so you have to take good care of it. Its like if you give someone a bday present and they go and chuck it out the window. How would you feel?

7 But the LORD said to Samuel, "Do not consider his appearance or his height, for I have rejected him. The LORD does not look at the things man looks at. Man looks at the outward appearance, but the LORD looks at the heart."
