It never seems to be a significant issue for children, but it seems as though once you get into high school and beyond, people increasingly categorize and segregate themselves (e.g., Clubs and Unions based on ethinicity, color, or religion; and people in general tending to congregate in the same way).

A British schoolteacher has been arrested in Sudan accused of insulting Islam's Prophet, after she allowed her pupils to name a teddy bear Muhammad.
...
Ms Gibbons, who joined the school in August, asked a seven-year-old girl to bring in her teddy bear and asked the class to pick names for it, he said.

"They came up with eight names including Abdullah, Hassan and Muhammad," Mr Boulos said, adding that she then had the children vote on a name.

Twenty out of the 23 children chose Muhammad as their favourite name.

Mr Boulos said each child was then allowed to take the bear home at weekends and told to write a diary about what they did with it.

I am overwelmed at the love on both sides here. It just takes my breath away.
This is the Religion and Spirituality category, isn't it?
It is obvious that Atheists are very curious about what Christians believe. It is either this, or many of you Atheists are just very mean spirited people who have too much time on your hands.
Why do you care enough about this category to spend so much time here?
Don't answer. I know. It's because deep down inside your hopeing that someone somehow someday will be able to prove God exists.

Aint guna hapen.

Only God can convience you. So go to him instead of comming here.

Personaly, I'm not offended by even the worst of you.

Some people worship God because they want to go to heaven. Others worship because they don't want to go to hell. Some worship to end the cycle of rebirth and enter Nirvana. All these reasons are selfish. "What God can do for me if I do this for him." Is there anyone who worships God for a reason that isn't selfish, and/or doesn't expect any kind of reward from God?

What heterosexual guy has a wife that he hasnt had sex with? A wee bit strange wouldnt you say? Maybe he married Marry to keep up with the male image of that time. He would undoutedbly be stonned to death in those days.

If Marry was really a virgin then Joseph was homosexual.

If Mary was born without sin and never sinned, it would mean that she perfectly obeyed the entire Law of Moses (the 10 Commandments and more than 360 ceremonial laws) in thought, word and deed, all of the time, and thus, achieved righteousness by the law!

This, in turn, would mean that she did not need "the righteousness from God, apart from the law" that "comes through faith in Jesus Christ". In other words, she did not need Jesus to die for her sins because she had none -- she was not a sinner!

For all Catholics who believe the false doctrine of tradition that Mary was with out sin--how come she acknowledged her need of a savior?

Luke 1:46-47
46 And Mary said: “My soul magnifies the Lord,
47 And my spirit has rejoiced in God my Saviour.“

...then why do women who dress conservatively, even nuns or Muslim women, get assaulted and raped?

This would seem to suggest rape isn't just a matter of being tempted by tight clothing and bare flesh...

Do NOT...I repeat...do NOT give me cut and paste answers...

and also email or posting the valid reason from the person doing this critique, wouldn't this be a way to think twice before thumbing, reporting and trolling and cloning and have better quality and less upsets in Yahoo!Answers?
Has this been suggested before and if so why not done?
I think that's a good way to reduce this "friction" of opinions in Yahoo! answers.
I will also post this Q. in Y!A. and Greece section later.

Suppose you're greeting by Allah, or Ganesh, or Odin, or Cthulhu. He told you he was considering letting you into heaven. Would you accept, not caring who God is so long as you go to heaven, or would you reject his offer since he isn't the God you believed in?

Seems like everyday i watch the news i see something bad.
And everyday i check the news on the internet and seems like most of it is more bad than the news i see on tv.
For example. I read about grown ups beating, raping, torturing kids that are like 2 and 3 years old. I have a child so when i hear or see this on news i get sick something just runs thru me. I am a strong believer in God and in my beliefs God watches and sees everything. Even if only you know he knows. And i know your not suppose to question your religion or things but lately i wonder...If God sees this how does it make him feel and why let these children suffer. I know jesus suffered. But these children dont know anything and they rely on grown ups to help them and they dont understand.
I look at my child and am almost scared of the future and how the world will be. All i can do is raise my child right and be a good parent. I just love God so much and i try not to but i wonder how he lets these children suffer.

Or do other religions use it as well?
I'm asking this because I know of some people that talk down on the catholic path (they are some other off-shoot of christianity.. I don't know which one) but when they watch a movie about exorcism performed by a catholic priest.. they fully believe in the possibility.

They are fully dedicated to their religion and have a "every other religion is wrong" attitude like most of the people that live in my small town of only 40,000 people. Are they hypocrits? Is exorcism available to other religions?
