Is carrying Marian devotion too far a common problem? I'll cite three examples:

1. One answer to my last question said: "Devotion to Mary sometimes develops the habit of turning to her first, but it also should develop a deeper relationship with and love of her Son because that's always where she points us."

I would hope that the latter is true, but the fomer seems to be inherently problematic regardless.

2. One answer to the question before, said: "The fear of God's severe judgment, the fear of Jesus as a mighty figure sitting at God's right hand, has led people to flee (figuratively) to Mary as one who is all mercy and has nothing of judgment within her. It's just like a child running to his mother when he fears his father might whip him."

3. A while back I read the autobiography of a sexual abuse victim in which she said that being able to go to Mary was a big deal for her because it was easier to approach a woman than to approach God.

I'm an Irish Catholic girl. I'm really normal. How would it be possible for me to meet the Pope? Is there an address that I could write to? I'm not an unusual person, I'm just a normal Catholic girl and I had a baby outside of wedlock but it is my dream to meet the pope. How would that be possible? How do normal people ever get to meet him? Thank you in advance for any advice. I would give anything just to see him and meet him. But what to do?

I'm not sure we will be able to identify people we know when we get to heaven. Not everyone can be perfect, and in being a good christian (or other faith), there may be some people that we are unable to get along with while on earth.
When we do get to heaven and see these people we might wonder why they're there (maybe we thought they did not practice their faith well etc).
Do you think that in order to prevent ego-trips and problems like this, God makes it so that we forget people (including our loved ones)? Or do you think we remember those we know now.
*If you can back up your answers with verses, that will be appreciated*

myself i believe in god, i dont believe jesus was wat u say he was, but i believe in heaven, and i also believe in hell, so as christians u believe jesus died on the cross for all our sins, meaning that watever crime we may commit, we will be forgiven, meaning we go to heaven, so do u believe in hell, and if you do dont u think the devil will be very lonely down there on his own, just a point i would christians to answer.

If by some chance Jesus decided he didn't want to save mankind, did God have his only begotten daughter (I believe her name is Milly) standing by?

What? Yeah well, where in the Bible did it say the messiah had to be male?

I know some well-to-do people who are good solid citizens, have loving families and live happy lives.
Why do some comfort themselves by saying the the rich are not truly happy? Isn't that just sour grapes???

check it out ya'll! and i hope JW's are reading this.

in Isaiah 43:10-11 this is were JW's get thier name. "“But you are my witnesses, O Israel!” says the Lord.
“You are my servant.
You have been chosen to know me, believe in me,
and understand that I alone am God.
There is no other God—
there never has been, and there never will be.
11 I, yes I, am the Lord,
and there is no other Savior.

NOW CHECK OUT Titus 2:13 "Looking for that blessed hope, and the glorious appearing of the great God and our Saviour Jesus Christ" and i can place a whole lot more passages here that says jesus is our saviour.

they couldnt both be huh?! no way! oh, and this deal with Jesus being a Sub god, it shows in your very own scripture that there was not before nor after AND THERE CAN BE ONLY ONE SAVIOR. EXPLAIN YOURSELF

I've asked this question b4 but no-one actually give me an answer as such, all they did was give me quotes from the bible which i don't want!! (all the Ned Flanders out there!!) Only answer these questions. Do you think God is an alien? Are we nothing more than an experiment in some scientist's lab? Just like we look down a microscope at some bacteria, does someone else do the same to us? Is the human race no more than bacteria eating away at some other living thing untill it and us die? WOW!! how heavey is this question........

Do you hold missionaries in high regard?

Now tell me how you feel about Mormons, Christians, Muslims, Seventh Day Adventists knocking at your door at supper time. Is that not missionary work?

I'm not taking sides here, just want to hear your voices.
