The True God, the Creator of all things, clearly identifies Himself as the One who inspired the Bible within the writings of the Bible.
In that collection of books He predicted the coming of someone who would perfectly represent Him to Mankind. Christians believe that person to be Jesus Christ, God in human form.

Maybe you are really interested in coming to know God.
Maybe you are just curious.
God says this:

"And without faith it is impossible to please God, because anyone who comes to Him must believe that He exists and that He rewards those who earnestly seek Him."

God is your father. If you really want to know who he is, you have to ask him. No one can explain this to you. Believers can do as you have said, "quote scriptures" that's good but it is only the Holy Spirit that can convince you. Ask him.
If you just want to play games you are waisting your time.

There is absolutely a spiritual realm. It exists apart from this physical universe. This universe is like a machine, which God invented. The machine can not move in Gods world unless he allows it to. Jesus Christ has allowed us to communicate with God the Father.

The Spiritual realm (God's Kingdom or -heaven-) has laws, just as our physical world has laws. Here, in the physical realm, if you release a rock, which you have held in your hand suspended over the earth, the rock will fall to the earth. That is a law.

In Gods Kingdom, if you rebel against God, you will be cast from his presence. That is a law.

To redeem such a person, the blood of an Innocent person must be offered freely by that person. That is a law.

For this action to work, the person who the sacrifice was made for must accept that gift gratefully, completely and tell others he has done so. That is a law.

Jesus has made himself a substitute in your place. The ball is in your court. you must decide to return the serve with, "I accept." or "I refuse." That is a law.

According to the Vedic understanding, God is a living being, but He is different being from us, in that He is the chief, supreme living being. According to the Bhagavad-gitä, mattaù parataraà nänyat [Bg. 7.7]. There is no living being superior to God. We all experience the fact that there are beings more intelligent than we. God is the ultimate intelligence. In the scriptures He is described as the superlative personality, as the super-powerful, super-intelligent being. We can see in this world that everyone is not on an equal level, that there are varying degrees of perfection. This indicates that there is a superlative, and if we go on searching—either for wealth, intelligence, power, beauty, or whatever—we will find that God possesses all qualities to the superlative degree. That is God.

And who is an alien. From ancient India's Vedic literature we learn that our real identity is neither American nor Mexican nor any nationality, but spirit soul—eternal, fully knowledgeable, and completely blissful. But because we have chosen to challenge the absolute authority of the Almighty, we have been thrown from our home in the spiritual world into this foreign material world to suffer our lot, life after life. Therefore we are all aliens within this material world. Until we realize that our real business is to lovingly serve the Supreme Personality of Godhead, we have to stay here in this world struggling in this material existence.
Just as we see the life of certain animals as lowly and abominable, so those who are liberated souls regard our life, even in this land of golden opportunity, as thoroughly miserable. From the enlightened, spiritual viewpoint, we are all aliens, emigrants from the spiritual world.

What is the intention of God by creating this Universe? This analysis of the design of the universe reveals a perfect understanding of the Supreme Lord's intentions. "One feels inclined to say," "that the intention that man should be 'happy' is not included in the plan of 'Creation.'" Well said. In Bhagavad-gitä, Lord Krishna, the Supreme Personality of Godhead, certifies His material creation as a place of misery, a place devoid of lasting happiness.
Confirming an aphorism in the Vedänta-sütra, states that our purpose in life is, simply enough, to be happy, to follow "the pleasure principle." But we can't be happy, because, we are threatened with suffering from three directions: from our own body, which is doomed to decay and dissolution and which cannot even do without pain and anxiety as warning signals; from the external world, which may rage against us with overwhelming and merciless forces of destruction: and finally from our relations to other men.
The Vedic literature agrees that we suffer continuously from either bodily ailments, natural disasters, or the assaults of other living creatures, and that in the face of these three kinds of miseries, fulfillment of our desire for pleasure is more or less impossible.
But we are not at all mice in laboratory, rather scientist trying to find the way out from this material energy.
We should realize this and try to help one another go back home, back to Godhead.

To start with, a good, summary definition of God is “the Supreme Being; the Creator and Ruler of all that is; the Self-existent One who is perfect in power, goodness, and wisdom.”

You could go on and on about who/what god is . heres how I see it. god is a belief that somewhere out there is a being be it alien, spirit etc. god is the human races way of hopeing that we were created by something a hell of a lot more inteligent than we are. this also gives us the hope that someday this belief will ultimately transform us into better beings .
hope this helps.

No. God is not an alien. This isn't like the final scene in "Men in Black" though that's an AWESOME scene....

God is the creator of the universe. He is worthy of the honor, respect, glory because He created all things.

I hate to be the first to tell you, but there are questions about which people don't have all the necessary facts at hand from which to construct a good answer. This could easily be one of them.
