Baklava is the monkey on my back. I have a friend who owns a restaurant, and he stops by with a family style meal about every two or three weeks. He always throws in too much of the Baklava. Even if I manage to stay away from it on my own, I can't resist when it comes to my door.
Addition: I assume that any dessert with sweetened condensed milk in the recipe is going to be a friend of mine!

Barfi, by the link you gave it sounds similar to Tablet http://scruss.com/tablet.html which I, and i think an indian friend gave me some plain barfi and i thought it was the same thing then.
my only vice really is smoking and sweet things

I really like the green barfi. I'm not sure whats in them but they taste really nice.

Yeah it's really nice. I also like the ones with the chocolate on top.

Wow!
That was courageous!
I though maybe you were going to address something a little weightier - like the caste system.

MY curse upon your venom’d stang,
That shoots my tortur’d gums alang,
An’ thro’ my lug gies mony a twang,
Wi’ gnawing vengeance,
Tearing my nerves wi’ bitter pang,
Like racking engines!

When fevers burn, or argues freezes,
Rheumatics gnaw, or colics squeezes,
Our neibor’s sympathy can ease us,
Wi’ pitying moan;
But thee—thou hell o’ a’ diseases—
They mock our groan.

Adown my beard the slavers trickle
I throw the wee stools o’er the mickle,
While round the fire the giglets keckle,
To see me loup,
While, raving mad, I wish a heckle
Were in their doup!

In a’ the numerous human dools,
Ill hairsts, daft bargains, cutty stools,
Or worthy frien’s rak’d i’ the mools,—
Sad sight to see!
The tricks o’ knaves, or fash o’fools,
Thou bear’st the gree!

Where’er that place be priests ca’ hell,
Where a’ the tones o’ misery yell,
An’ ranked plagues their numbers tell,
In dreadfu’ raw,
Thou, TOOTHACHE, surely bear’st the bell,
Amang them a’!

O thou grim, mischief-making chiel,
That gars the notes o’ discord squeel,
Till daft mankind aft dance a reel
In gore, a shoe-thick,
Gie a’ the faes o’ SCOTLAND’S weal
A townmond’s toothache!

I can sorta see why they call it "barfi"
it looks a little like it.......... You are a brave girl to eat that stuff. I couldn't do it.
