No. A good friend of mine, who is gay, tried to volunteer for them a number of years ago and was turned away because of his sexuality. Since then I do not support anything they do.

Nope.

But then again I stopped giving money to the S.A. a long time ago when my cousins who were a part of the S.A. left due to what they felt was immoral use of charitable funds and that they felt people were mislead into believing that the money they donated all went to help those less fortunate when in fact a good portion of the money goes to missionary work and organizational maintenance (staff pay, utility bills, etc). They got very upset when they saw how funds given for charitable purposes (not those raised in collection every Sunday by members) was used and left the S.A. Knowing all this from my cousins, I do not donate any money to the S.A. I prefer to give my money to charities that actually use the money for what they say they will use it for. I'm not saying that I do not give to churches or religious organizations that are not the same as my religion, I do. I just research them first to make sure that I know that my charitiable contribution is going for what they say it will go to.

The Salvation Army is one of the best charity groups around, consider your sources on this one. I have seen them in action and you probably have to. I have seen them in the Gulf Coast to, They are good, very good. This article is all political. If it was about the red cross I could have believed it, they are fading, and I know first hand.

No I don't. I only give to local charities I have carefully examined, and not a penny to corporate charities.
