As a Catholic, I would say that a Christian who hates anybody is not as Christian as they seem to think they are.

Jesus said, "Love one another as I have loved you."

In some cases, this seems to be true, PD, and it is very sad. When I enounter hate, I try to remember that Our Lord Jesus Christ said, "Father, forgive them." He directed us to "love your enemies; pray for those who persecute you."

As Christians, do we respond to the hate we encounter with anger and hate in return, or do we respond with love, forgiveness and prayer?

A Christian isn't supposed to hate anybody. They should hate the sin but not the sinner. In addressing genuine Christians I believe a more proper question would be "Who do Christians pray for the most?"

As a mormon I do not Hate anyone's faith. Our faith has taught us to respect everyone's beliefs. It is in our Articles of Faith. #11 "We claim the privilege of worshiping Almighty God according to the dictates of our own conscience, and allow all men the same privilege, let them worship how, where, or what they may." It is a shame other religions don't give us the same respect.

Some of them hate whoever doesn't share their beliefs. Luckly I have met nice christians (yes, here in R&S!) that proved me once again what I already knew: most of them are normal people

Atheists first, Muslims second, any other religion third, and other denominations fourth. It is truly a religion of love...
