The bible says we will meet in the clouds, but in heavan it does not mention individual personalities. We all have a piece of God in us and we are all required to fulfill the purpose we are given with the piece we have. When
we connect to the power source God through the cord Jesus we empower
the God in us.When we are raptured we meet our relatives and friends in the air but ultimately the only one that will enter heavan is God. Basically the peice of god we have will return to the source of its origin God. We will return to earth with Jesus and rule the earth so heavan is not our permanent home.We will
go there so that God can purify and renovate the earth. Heavan is not our goal it is guaranteed to the believer. While I am on earth I am taking steps to bring heavan to me by making better decisions in all areas of my life because there is not only a literal Hell but a figurative Hell that we create by making poor decisions.

and other parts of the bible it says stuff like this:
Suppose there are prophets among you, or those who have dreams about the future, and they promise you signs or miracles, and the predicted signs or miracles take place. If the prophets then say, 'Come, let us worship the gods of foreign nations,' do not listen to them. The LORD your God is testing you to see if you love him with all your heart and soul. Serve only the LORD your God and fear him alone. Obey his commands, listen to his voice, and cling to him. The false prophets or dreamers who try to lead you astray must be put to death, for they encourage rebellion against the LORD your God, who brought you out of slavery in the land of Egypt. Since they try to keep you from following the LORD your God, you must execute them to remove the evil from among you. (Deuteronomy 13:1-5)
wouldn't we consider this murder by today's standards?

I was answering the question and then got the old "customer care had to remove this question"
The question was genuine and I do not understand why it would be deleted.

Think of it this way:

Before Moses Judaism didn't exist. Laws were not codified and the religion of Yahweh became a basis to rule a nation.

Before Constatine, Christianity didn't exist as a means to rule. Creeds and doctrines became a basis of rulership.

Perhaps Yahweh sent Jesus along to get people to stop using it as a system of rule and go back to an actual holistic relationship with him.

Who will come to do the same for what happened with Jesus' teachings?

after watching a few of his services, and reading up a little about him, I'm convinced he's more of a counseling people advocate than a 'preacher'.... his message is upbeat, and psychologically great for people to hear, since it's more about you getting yourself what you need than 'god' handing it to you for good works.... he's really got it down to a science, that of telling folks what makes them feel good about themselves.... even going so far as telling women to shop at Victoria's Secret to help their marriages be happier!....
he's different..... is he the next BillyG?

I'm not a believer, but I do like the way his messages uplift PEOPLE.....

If a creationist can tell us all that evolution is a lie because it's just a theory I figure that thinking must apply to other theories as well. Right?
Over the years different theories have been given for gravity. First it was Aristotle, then Galileo, after that Newton gave us the best explanation for gravity, but these days we like Einstein’s theory the best.
The theory is why gravity happens just like it is why evolution happens. Gravity itself is a fact just like evolution is a fact. Both can be scientifically proven. The apple does fall, living organisms do change from generation to generation.

People believe in psychic phenomena and a lot of religious/spiritual stuff because they are afraid of dying and if you convince yourself that there are forces beyond the physical realm you feel like you are immortal. To accept reality is to face fear and so religion is weakness. Agree or disagree?

I read an article a discovery in Rome concerning the place where Romulus and Remus was supposedly raised by a she wolf.

I learned that the emperor kept his power base near this place in order to strengthen his rule over his subjects by associating himself with Romulus and Remus.

Moses used it to create the nation of Israel.

Constantine used it to create a new Rome.

Kings and rulers have always used religion to secure their power. Some claimed to have been chosen by God or are gods themselves.

Even today you see religion being used to secure power. Just look at the republican party, they base their strength on conservative/fundamentalist Christianity.

By contrast, Jesus never used the religion of his God to rule. He used it as a catalyst for living a moral life loving others.

So when religion is used to justify rule over people it stops being a means to commune with the spiritual and becomes something totally different.

What do you think?

Nobody is x until everybody is x.

According to your religion or spirituality (or beliefs, for those who are atheist), can you think of a word to substitute for x in both cases? Be creative!

Blessings in the Light of Christ!
