I was answering the question and then got the old "customer care had to remove this question"
The question was genuine and I do not understand why it would be deleted.

I'm an Atheist is it weird for me to be happy for someone finding god?
Ok, I am an Atheist. I really don't believe in god I believe he was created out of fear by man, both fear of death and being alone in the world. But thats not the focus of this question. My main question is if it's weird that I feel happy knowing someone found god before death? He was a real religious friend of mine and used to be on heavy drugs and used to do nothing with his life. Then he started changing and quit drugs, stopped following the wrong crowd and started raising his daughter. Then he was knocked off the side of the highway into a river where he slowly drowned as the car sank.

If anything for me that made god only move farther from my heart than already. But even though I was saddened because my friend was now dead, I was kind of happy that before he died he fixed up his life and found god, not because I believe god exists but because thats what he believed and his belief made him a better person and he went with a mind of peace. I was glad that he was happy before death.

this is a question many a man asks especially atheists.
GOD is not there to make everyone happy.if everyone was happy..theres nothing to hope after that.life becomes hopeless.even a begger is happy in his own rights at times and sad at other times.same is the case with worlds richest man.there is always an equlibrium.if theres a mafia don in some part of the world, there is a mother theresa in another part.so everything is about equillibrium.and death is never a sad instance god makes for someone, cuz everyone must die.he cant make u live forever to make u happy

Very diligent of you to pick that up. It certainly was a genuine and heartfelt question.
His friend asked for and received a life changing introduction to God and, in my understanding, a very positive direction in the way he will spend eternity. Hopefully he too will take the hint.

As to why Y!A removed the question is anyones guess as there doesn't appear to be too much transparency with the Hierarchical Officious Oracle.

Well it's kind of morbid, but I don't see why it was removed...Lol, my friend says the trolls did it. Perhaps the person who posted the question will tell you, as the violation emails you get always state the reason for the violation.

It's not weird at all.

Maybe, (I don't know, don't get mad) maybe you want to, deep down, you really want to find God too.

Or maybe, seeing your friend find God, and seeing him truly happy for once, makes you happy. That's completely normal. A friend sees his friend happy after long miserable years makes him happy.

Oh yeah, the question removal thing. How unbelievably rude!

I don't get that. It was a great question from someone who clearly gave spirituality a lot of thought.

How could they remove this question and leave on so much troll stuff? Absurd! It was a good question.

I was answering it, too. I clicked SUBMIT, and BOom!

I thought it was a great question.

I told him what a great friend he was! More people should feel the way that he did. He showed compassion.
